It can be dropped by Axe Beak, Tabar Beak, Deadly Dodo, Diatryma, Lesser Roc, Phorusrhacos, Okyupete, Peryton, Sand Cockatrice, Ziz, Greater Cockatrice, Kreutzet, Abraxas, Cluckatrice, Amuckatrice, and Stryx. It can be stolen from Axe Beak, Tabar Beak, Deadly Dodo, Skewer Sam, Waraxe Beak, and Ziz. It can also be obtained from Chocobo digging.

Giant Feather is a piece of loot that can be dropped from Dive Talon and Vulture, stolen from Garuda, or poached Dive Talon, Vulture, and Zu. Three are required in making Phoenix Down x12 while five are required in making Kagenui. It sells for 686 gil.
