- “Fritter's the name, and me and the Crazy 8's have some unfinished business with ol' Lightning McQueen.”
- ―Miss Fritter[src]
Miss Fritter is a character in the 2017 Disney/Pixar animated film Cars 3. She is a demolition racer and star from Thunder Hollow who raced against Lightning McQueen and Cruz Ramirez.
Background[]
According to the short Miss Fritter's Racing Skoool, she was a school bus on her former home, Lower Belleville County. However, she changed the direction of her life when she started her racing school. She also taught her fellow competitors how to race.
Official Description[]
- Miss Fritter loves the smash-and-crash life of demolition derby. A local legend at the Thunder Hollow Speedway, Fritter's formidable school-bus-size is intimidating, but it's her smoke stacks of doom, razor-sharp stop sign and crazy collection of her victims' license plates that usually steers her opponents in the other direction.[2]
Physical Appearance[]
Miss Fritter has the bodywork of a yellow school bus but has bigger tires that all have the shapes of two wrenches spray-painted on them. She has blue eyes, two large exhaust pipes which resemble horns that shoot out streams of flame when she revs her engine and charges, chains going through her hood and fenders, a circular saw blade painted red with the word "stop" in capitals, and several symbols painted on her sides (including the number "58"). She even has a smaller tooth between her front teeth. She used to be part of a school district called the "Lower Bellvelle County Unified School District."
Personality[]
Miss Fritter is an intimidating school bus. She is very arrogant and mocks Cruz Ramirez and Lightning McQueen when they join her Crazy 8 demolition derby by mistake. She is very talented in taking out other competitors and enjoys doing it. Despite her sinister behavior, she also has a kind, caring, well-meaning, good-hearted side.
Powers and abilities[]
In the demolition derby, she uses her saw bladed stop sign to remove Cruz Ramírez' license plate like her previous rivals.

Miss Fritter competes in a demolition derby at the Thunder Hollow Speedway, when Lightning McQueen and Cruz Ramirez visit there (as Chester Wipplefilter and Frances Betline). Later, she challenges them during a race but ends up crashing Taco. When McQueen sacrifices his right tire, but Fritter tries to eliminate him but falls on her own poster.
When Mr. Drippy runs over Fritter, he falls and Lightning gets wet and the fans reveal that Chester Wipplefilter is Lightning McQueen. She is interviewed by the RSN press, revealing herself as a Lightning McQueen fan, having a lot of posters of him in her own garage.
She is later seen in watching the Florida 500 on a television.

Trivia[]
- She is based off of an 1970's International Harvester Loadstar school bus 40' bus with a flame shooting diesel engine.
- She is a big fan of Lightning McQueen.
- Her exhaust pipes were designed as a homage to Maleficent's horns.
- Her name is a reference to Miss Frizzle, the teacher from the PBS show The Magic School Bus.
- The street sign on her left side that says "Cutting Blvd." is a reference to a real street in Richmond, California. Richmond is north of Pixar Animation Studios in Emeryville, and also where Pixar used to be located.
- In the Cars on the Road episode "Trucks", there is a school bus similar to her.
- While practically threatening herself, ironically, she's actually not as inherently antagonistic as Jackson Storm, Sterling, and even Chick Hicks were. While she does enjoy her job as a demolition derby competitor, she's also not hesistant to opening up her well-mannered soft side to others, either, as evidenced by her personal fandom to Lightning, her newfound respect for Cruz, and her companionship with other vehicles after the most recent demolition derby event.
