OMG! This was intense.
I am suffering from a serious book hangover.
This story gripped me from the start. I literally devoured it!
I've read my fair share of dark reads in the past but this one was just... unique. WOW!
This was exactly what I needed. In the past few months, I've read too many hearts and flowers romance novels, and this was an escape from my "usual" genre.

The Sect was my first read from Courtney Lane, and boy, lady is a freakin' genius! I need to read more of her books.
How to describe this book?
It is most definitely an erotic thriller, but it's also so much more. Twisted, demented, f***ed up, I could go on and on...
Not every dark read that deals with similar topics (kidnapping, sexual slavery, violence) can be so ruthless, captivating and brutal.
If you think you can handle that, then go for it!

I don't want to give anything away so I will just patiently wait for a sequel (there is no cliffhanger at the end of this one though) and say that I highly recommend it!
