I think the fact that my favorite character wasn’t in the beginning, and everyone else was just spiraling, made me disconnect a little. But the first half was still my favorite! Post reconciliation it just seemed to get a little less exciting. I one hundred percent think this was me, and my current mood (which I couldn’t describe even if I wanted to). Clover has such a real, believable, and independent relationship with each of the men in his life that it’s obvious why they have this unique relationship. There is so much love, but there is so much heartache in this one too. It is not a happy tale, and it ends on such shaky ground; but I’m so in for the long haul and need to see a HEA for all the men. Wyatt Baker is a phenomenal narrator, gives each character a voice that completely fits that, and tells a compelling tale. ...more

And while I’m not much for horror, zombies, OR the old west, this story was so well written that I was still completely hooked. I will say that I thought there wasn’t enough focus on the MCs or enough time with the MCs spent together. While they do love each other, and there are some sexy times, I probably wouldn’t classify this as a romance. Maybe by the end of the trilogy I’ll feel differently though, because I definitely have to continue after that ending!...more
