While these three characters have made plenty of appearances in the background of other stories, I truly felt like we got to know them here and got into their heads in a way Kiki has always done so well. If you're looking for a well written trio, with some seriously steamy scenes, I do recommend this book.
Now, as others have pointed out, this book doesn't do as good of a job of progressing the overall Kincaid Pack plot, which is why I can't give this book 5 stars. Kiki does bonkers-good world building and it's just kinda missing here. I will absolutely continue on with the series as I need to see the epic showdown I just know will be there at the end, but this one ends up for me to be high on the relationships and low on the overarching plot. ...more

This book was even better than the first in the series. I was laughing from the start, and it honestly never let up. Benji and Calarian were so much fun, and all the unfortunate mishaps they got into made for a delightfully joyful fantasy romp. I liked Lars well enough, but do wish we had gotten the chance to see things from his POV, as I never truly felt like we got to know him. Overall a very fun sequel with an amazing cast and a guarantee to put a smile on everyone’s faces. ...more

The first couple chapters gave us a look into their past, the fallout from the fire, and them reuniting, and it was everything I hoped for. Then we got the present, when Jonas enters the picture and he just fits so well. Even with 2/3 of the relationship already being formed, this really read as a slow burn. There was a constant simmering heat and background want and need that kept me turning pages for the next time all three would be together. I think this might have been Lindsey’s most imagery filled work too, and it was a beautiful read....more

Clover has such a real, believable, and independent relationship with each of the men in his life that it’s obvious why they have this unique relationship. There is so much love, but there is so much heartache in this one too. It is not a happy tale, and it ends on such shaky ground; but I’m so in for the long haul and need to see a HEA for all the men. Wyatt Baker is a phenomenal narrator, gives each character a voice that completely fits that, and tells a compelling tale. ...more

I usually love Donovan’s writing, but this one fell a little flat for me. Writing poly relationships has got to be extremely difficult, and this one falls into the didn’t really work. I felt very little chemistry between the 3 MCs, and their relationship just didn’t work for me. Each MC came with their own baggage, but I felt it was barely touched on and underutilized. Overall, it just felt very surface level, when it could have gone much deeper and been a much better story. ...more
