I really liked reading this book, it was charming and taught me about the importance of listening to people or ghosts, and having empathy for others, and also to take care of yourself. The romantic story line was adorable. I loved Brody, the chonky bookstore owner. Dorian, the ghostkeeper, was a bit irritating but he was dealing with the ghosts and the living and all of them wanted him to do something for them or to leave or just thought he was a nuisance. I really like KA Holt's books. They are written for juvenile readers and I enjoy them too. All these things that the kids in the book had and had to dI really like KA Holt's books. They are written for juvenile readers and I enjoy them too. All these things that the kids in the book had and had to deal with was nothing like when I was a kid in school. Nowadays kids can't have cell phones on in school but you have notifications from the school go to your cell phone.... so how does that work? Anyway, it is something I will just imagine.
I wrote down two notes while reading this book:
page 26 - That Teenbuzz notification on the phone was absolutely annoying.
page 126 - Teenbuzz - shut the LOL Hurricanes up already!!!! (IYKYK) And why are you only telling girls what they need to do to get the boys attention? Grrrr

I really enjoy listening to Dr. Westman on youtube. And I loved his End Your Carb Confusion book. That was full of so much information that I was looking for. But this cookbook is just like all the other ones with weird ingredients and things I would never cook with and/or eat. Not one of the recipes was interesting enough for me. Plus, some of the Phase 1 recipes were really high in carbs. I don't want to waste my carbs on something that is 10 carbs for 1 cup of roasted tomato sauce. And that was a Phase 1 recipe. Sorry Dr. Westman. I'll stick to your books....more
