The Ventkids are a group of children from Solaris United in Fortuna who get by stealing parts from the Corpus and running K-Drive races out in the Orb Vallis.
To fully access this Syndicate, the player must complete the Vox Solaris quest. Syndicate members reside within their clubhouse, which is accessible by visiting Fortuna and then using Fast Travel from the Main Menu: default Esc → FAST TRAVEL → ROKY (to visit by foot - their entrance to their clubhouse is found on a large grated vent scrawled with graffiti located on the second floor of Fortuna above Legs' shop). This syndicate is also part of the lore in the optional quest The Waverider for Yareli.
As a Syndicate, Ventkids have their own Standing that can be exchanged for various rewards from the town's NPCs. Ventkids Standing can be gained primarily by completing Races in Orb Vallis and Cambion Drift that appear in different places on the map (default: hold M ) as denoted by a purple icon while the player is mounted on their K-Drive. Standing may also be gained by performing K-Drive tricks with a ratio of 1 standing per 4 trick points (max of 6,000 points or 1,500 standing per trick chain). Ventkids are a neutral Syndicate, and gaining Standing with them will not affect a player's Standing with any other Syndicate.

How To Farm Standing/Farming Tips[]
- Main article: K-Drive Race
- Five different races will spawn in the Orb Vallis every day, and additionally Grandmother oversees races in the Cambion Drift. The race selection resets at 00:00 UTC.
- Equipping your K-Drive and opening the map (default: hold M ) will mark active race start points.
- K-Drive tricks can be performed in any open world area, but K-Drive Races are only available in the Orb Vallis and Cambion Drift.
- Each race grants roughly between ~2,000 to ~5,000 Ventkids standing and K-Drive affinity, depending on the speed of completion and markers hit. Races may be repeated as often as desired, granting standing until the daily standing cap is reached.
- Repeating a race is more efficient than performing tricks. Each race takes around 20 to 40 seconds, earning you ~2,000 to ~5,000, while performing enough tricks to hit a score of 6,000 takes the same amount of time, but earning at most 1,500.
- Doing tricks for standing might also be riskier than doing an easy race, because failing to land correctly will break your score multiplier and cause you to lose time rebuilding it. On the other hand, failing a race (by failing to maintain the minimum required speed) will cause a small loss of standing, while performing tricks will never cause standing to decrease.
- Some K-Drive mods might hinder you in races, while others might help you. This is subjective, but some general tips are below:
- Poppin' Vert may help with performing tricks while doing races due to the additional jump effect. However, it may interfere with your momentum.
- Mag Locks makes grinding easier to start.
- Nitro Boost will make acceleration faster.
- Rail Guards makes grinding faster, but it decreases the time for you to perform tricks while doing so. You may consider using Pop Top and/or Air Time to help with this.
- Do not skip markers as the majority of the standing from a race comes from hitting these marks.
- Going into Archwing mode and then flying to the end (and equipping your K-drive) only gives about ~200 to ~500 standing, whereas doing the race in its entirety yields ~2,000 to ~5,000.
- Warframe mods do not affect stats when riding K-Drives.
- Affinity Boosters increase K-Drive affinity but do not affect standing gains.
- As of Hotfix 24.1.2 (2018-11-29), grinding does not add to the combo multiplier.
- Grinding will still allow you to reposition yourself and continue to rack up tricks without ending your combo. With this update, if you plan on doing tricks to gain standing, it's best to spend more time doing aerial tricks instead of simply grinding to gain standing quickly.
Lore & History[]
Known members[]
- Roky, sells and assembles K-Drives to the Tenno in Fortuna.
- Boon, runs K-Drive races in Orb Vallis.
- Bobo, attempted to rob The Business and failed.
Trivia[]
- The Ventkids is the first Syndicate:
- The Ventkids have subdivisions named after the Pobbers and Kubrodons.
- Bobo in certain languages means stupid.
- According to Eudico and Boon, Nef Anyo wants to get rid of the Ventkids, probably because they regularly steal Corpus supplies. The events of The Waverider would confirm these suspicions.
- According to The Business and Smokefinger, the genre of loud and noisy music played by the Ventkids' percussion band is called 'Skeg', which is stylistically similar to found-object music performed by street performers or groups such as Blue Man Group or Stomp.
- The Business seems to have problem with their taste in music. "Sounds like a bag of hammers thrown down the stairs," as he puts it.
- Smokefinger appears to have a love/hate relationship with Skeg, in one breath both providing a thoughtful analysis of the "entirely original acousmatic experience" while also complaining that the noise makes it hard for him to sleep.
- Roky says she occasionally finds sheet music left by Smokefinger in the vents, one of them titled "Mandachord sonata". Roky complains she has no idea what the title means or how to read the music, and asks the Tenno if Smokefinger's gesture supposed to be an insult.
- Rude Zuud - or at the very least Chatter - appreciates Skeg, making requests in exchange for parts to build Kitguns with. Zuud claims that Chatter sings when the Ventkids play their music at night, which helps her sleep.
- From time to time, Bounties in the Vallis may have the Ventkids requests Tenno to steal supplies for K-Drives. Once the Bounty chain is completed Eudico, paraphrasing Roky, says that the Ventkids will 'Skeg it all up super loud all night', much to her subsequent annoyance.
- Upon observing closely, these children have their heads mechanically, and presumably electronically, attached loosely to their bodies.
- A detachable head is standard for Solaris cyborg bodies (Rigs). But they need to be fully grown before they can support a replacement torso large enough to store it inside.
- Arlo has similar enhancements, though with his head misaligned with his neck, indicating he was Solaris himself.
Bugs[]
- In the percussion band behind Roky, animation for the nearest kid playing box and barrel occasionally won't perform properly. During the performance, the kid will sometime stand stiff while the sticks will float and hit the instruments by themselves.
- Standing close to the child laying on the K-Drive as an Operator will cause the board's animation to stop and the child's head to disappear while he continues swaying side to side without the board moving.
