Skarbrand-character

Summary

Skarbrand is a Bloodthirster of Khorne. Having destroyed countless worlds and slain untold millions, he was considered one of the Blood God's greatest champions. Though, this dedication to slaughter and destruction proved to be his undoing when Tzeentch came to him and began to fuel his rage. Facing ever greater foes, he eventually grew so enraged that he struck at Khorne himself when his attention was elsewhere. For his insolence, Khorne dragged him to the peak of the Brass Citadel and cast him from his realm, causing Skarbrand to fly for eight days and nights. His crash tore his wings to shreds and carved out a massive canyon within the ground beneath him. Now exiled, Skarbrand fights with far less restraint and acts as a force of pure, unrestricted rage and slaughter, all of this to regain the favor of the Blood God.

Whether or not they come back is entirely dependent on if their God allows them to[1]. Continued to fight despite having a sword impaled through his chest[5]), Regeneration (Low-Godly overtime; Daemons will simply regenerate in the Warp as long as the ideas and metaphors that they rely on have not been affected[1]), Weapon Mastery and Martial Arts (Bloodthirsters are the perfect embodiment of Khorne's martial discipline[6]), Bloodlust and Berserk Mode (Bloodthirsters are in a constant state of bloodlust[6]), Possession and Dream Manipulation (Even Lesser Daemons can reach beyond the veil and possess mortals, even entering their dreams to do so[7]), Dimensional Travel (Capable of travelling from the Warp into the Materium[8]), Damage Reduction (Ranged weaponry is incredibly ineffective when used against a daemon, requiring more traditional weapons to fully banish them[9]), Madness Manipulation (Type 3) and Corruption (Types 1 and 2; Looking upon a daemon can cause insanity and corrupt the mind, body, and soul of an individual), Summoning (Powerful Daemons are capable of summoning lesser daemons to aid them in combat[10]), Empathic Manipulation, Sound Manipulation, and Mind Manipulation (His roars were able to infect the minds of others and cause them to enter a bloodlust[11]), Reality Warping (His sheer fury manifests warp storms wherever he goes[12]), Soul Manipulation and Durability Negation (Even the weakest of Khornate weapons removes the souls of those it cuts[13]. The axes of Bloodthirsters can consume the souls of others[6]), Statistics Amplification (Killing makes Khornate Daemons[13] grow in strength[14])

Superhuman Physical Characteristics, Weapon Mastery, Large Size (Type 1; Bloodthirsters vary in size from 10 to 20 meters), Self-Sustenance (Type 1, 2 and 3; Being a purely immaterial creature, Skarbrand has no requirements to his eternal existence[4]), Immortality (Type 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 and 9; Daemons cannot die of natural causes, nor can be killed in a conventional manner, they can regenerate from death and are sustained by the Chaos Gods[15]. Being of a nonexistent nature, they are neither alive nor dead, and upon destruction of their form, they can possess anyone in a form of a spirit[16]. Their true selves reside in the Realm of Chaos that control and navigate their manifestations), Regeneration (Low-Mid in Combat; Low-Godly overtime; Daemons will simply regenerate in the Warp as long as the ideas and metaphors that they rely on have not been affected[1]), Abstract Existence (Type 1; Daemons are formed from the thoughts and emotions of mortals or created by as extensions of their gods. Daemons are beings made out of concepts, ideas, metaphors, contradictions and thoughts), Invulnerability and Limited Nonexistent Physiology (Type 2 Nature, All Aspects; Daemons, like their gods, are 'Aethyric entities', the Aethyr at its core[17]. has no definite existing physical reality of its own[17], Aethyr is the substance of the Void which transcends existence 'The Is' and non existence 'The Un'. While the physical form of a Daemon can be harmed, the essence itself will remain intact while connected to the body. The essence of a Daemon within their physical form is made out of Aethyr which is non-existent in nature), Fire Manipulation (Bloodthirsters can breath fire[18][19]), Instinctive Action (A Bloodthirster instinctively knows how a battle is going and knows how to use their troops to their greatest effect[20]), Bloodlust and Rage Power (Being true servants of Khorne, Bloodthirsters are perpetually driven in a rage that drives them to kill everything on sight[20]), Telekinesis, Enhanced Senses, Analytical Prediction (Daemons make use of Witchsight similar to other Aethyric beings and magic users[21]), Dream Manipulation (Daemons can influence and interact with susceptible beings in their dreams[22]. Superior to weaker daemons that can invade dreamscapes[23]), Damage Boost (For Khornate Axes, when any critical hit scored by a Bloodthirster will immediately be fatal[24]), Social Influencing and Empathic Manipulation (While Bloodthirsters are capable of inducing rage and fear into their opponents[24], they are also capable of inspiring their own daemons, their mere presence sending their daemons into an excitable frenzy[20]), Sound Manipulation (A Bloodthirster's roar is so devastating that it can cause[24] souls to disintegrate), Madness Manipulation (Types 2 & 3; Bloodthirsters have a natural aura that drives enemies insane. Merely perceiving a Bloodthirster can destroy a person's psyche as they are unable to comprehend such power[24]. Their roar can cripple men and causes them to go into a mad frenzy[24]), Fear Manipulation (Alongside a maddening aura, Bloodthirsters can also cause crippling fear in their enemies even when approaching from afar and when they roar. Even perceiving a Daemon of Chaos can cause one to go mad)[24], Transmutation, Life Manipulation, Blood Manipulation, Weather Manipulation, and Aura (Even from miles away, Bloodthirsters can induce[20] madness, crippling fear, rage, cause plants to grow thorns and even teeth that gnash at anything living, and causes inanimate objects to sweat blood, with blood clouds and red lightning flashing in the sky), Sense Manipulation and Paralysis Inducement (The stench of gore from a Bloodthirster can be extremely paralyzing[24]), Weather Manipulation, Air Manipulation, Acid Manipulation (Their wings can generate terrible storms that are made of blood red clouds, strike red lightning and rain acid[20]), Temperature Manipulation (Their very presence scorches the earth and those around them[20]), Mind Manipulation (Daemons naturally affect the mind and cause people to quickly lose their sanity[24]), Damage Reduction (Daemons are greatly resistant to non-magical attacks, largely ignoring any damage[25]), Possession (Daemons are capable of possessing mortals and taking control of their bodies[16]), Corruption (Daemons are physical embodiments of Chaos manifest, corrupting the landscape, mutating mortals, and causing madness[26]), Shapeshifting (Daemons can take on a number of forms to trick and entice mortals[27]), Time Manipulation (Due to the nature of a Daemon's physical existence, when attacked or even killed, a daemon can simply fold time in on itself to restore its physical form[28]), Soul Manipulation (The blades of Khornate Daemons can drain the souls of its victims from a single wound[29]), Durability Negation (Skarbrand's axes, Slaughter and Carnage, both ignore the armor and defenses of others[30]), Automatic Translation (The speech of a Bloodthirster automatically turns into something that can be understood by those listening[31])

All previous abilities to a higher degree, Size Manipulation (Skarbrand should be able to grow to the size of solar systems much like other Bloodthirsters[35])

Attack Potency: Varies (Dependent upon the amount of slaughter he's done as well as the amount of Warp energy he has to draw from) from at least City Block level (Was once one of Khorne's greatest champions[12]. As such, he should be generally comparable to both Primarch and Daemon Angron. Fought[5] Roboute Guilliman for a short period of time. Bloodthirsters can cleave apart tanks[6] and Carnifexes in a single blow) to Planet level (Crashed straight through the hull of the[40] Blackstone Fortress. Within the Warp, Daemons that can manipulate the Warp and its dimensionality[44], with the Warp holding 3 layers[45], with each layer transcending the infinity of the previous[46])

Speed: At least Hypersonic, likely far higher combat and reaction speed (Could keep up with Roboute Guilliman in their fight) | Massively Hypersonic (Comparable to, if not faster than, other Bloodthirsters of Khorne) | Varies from Hypersonic to Massively Hypersonic (Should hold similar, if not faster, speeds while within more heavily warp tainted areas) | Immeasurable (Beyond the concepts of time, space, or distance[38]. Ships have been known to travel back in time[47] while moving through the Warp)

Lifting Strength: Class K (As he was once one of Khorne's greatest champions[12], he should be comparable to both Primarch and Daemon Angron in strength, who Briefly held up the leg of a Warhound Titan[48], which weigh 410 tonnes, and later casually throw around hundreds of tonnes worth of containers[49]) | Class M, possibly Class T (Comparable, if not stronger than, other Bloodthirsters of Khorne) | Varies from Class K to Class M, possibly Class T (Superior to before) | Immeasurable

Striking Strength: Varies from at least City Block level to Planet level | Large Island level, possibly Large Country level | Varies from Moon level to Solar System level to Universe level+ | Outerverse level

Durability: Varies from at least City Block level (Withstood blows from Guilliman, ones that were said to be able to punch straight through a tank hull[5]) to Planet level | Large Island level, possibly Large Country level | Varies from Moon level to Solar System level to Universe level+ | Outerverse level (Survived getting thrown by Khorne through the Warp, though with torn wings[12])

Stamina: Infinite (Continued to fight despite having a sword impaled through his chest[5]. Daemons don't tire and are incapable of physical exhaustion) | Infinite | Infinite | Infinite

Range: Several Meters physically. Tens of Meters via Aura and Mind Manipulation. Several Kilometers to Tens of Kilometers with their Aura and Weather Manipulation | Several Meters physically. Tens of Meters via Aura and Mind Manipulation. Several Kilometers to Tens of Kilometers with their Aura and Weather Manipulation | Several Meters physically. Tens of Meters via Aura and Mind Manipulation. Several Kilometers to Tens of Kilometers with their Aura and Weather Manipulation. Up to Interplanetary (Skarbrand should be able to grow to the size of solar systems much like other Bloodthirsters[35], granting him this much range) | Outerversal (Should be able to manipulate the dimensionality of the Warp and its layers[44])

Standard Equipment: Slaughter and Carnage

Intelligence: Gifted (Should be comparable if not superior to other Bloodthirsters of Khorne given his previous rank. Bloodthirsters know every mortal language in every dialect and strain[20])

Weaknesses: Requires a certain amount of Warp energy to maintain his form. Cannot manifest his full power outside the Warp. If a being knows his true name they can utilize it to very easily bind him | Cannot manifest his full power outside the Warp. If a being knows his true name they can utilize it to very easily bind him | None notable

Note: Based on the current cosmology, the Warp and the entities within (such as the Chaos Gods and their daemons) are all the same across the different games rather than different variations of the same character.
