Magic mirror.. On the wall..

Who’s the fairest one of all? May I hear the name of love.. Show me truth and what’s to come.

~ The Evil Queen to her Magic Mirror

Queen Morgana Grimhilde-White, also known as The Evil Queen or simply Grimhilde, is the main antagonist of the 2025 Disney based live-action and fantasy fanfilm Snow White, an installment from Hux's Disneyverse.

She is a wicked and power hungry yet a beautiful and charismatic queen as well as the sister and archenemy of the iconic main protagonist of the story, Snow White, and the daughter of both Queen Rachel White and King Larry White, as the latter taught her to be a villain before she betrayed him out of lust for full power.

She is portrayed by the American-Palestinian actress Bella Hadid on her first major villainous role.

History[]

Past[]

Queen Morgana Grimhilde was once an innocent child, and the daughter of the ruthless King Larry White and his good hearted wife Queen Rachel White, who wanted to shape her favorite daughter Snow as the queen of the land, and even secretly formed a rebellion force against Larry, so evil will never take over the land. Unfortunately, Morgana killed Rachel before she even betrayed and murdered Larry since she desired immediate infinite power so the people will all accept her unconditionally and see her as a god like figure. She uses dark magic often in order to be better than Snow White while preventing her from becoming the ruler of the lands, and also in order to use fear tactics so her people won't overthrow her. She uses punishments and executions on whoever stands in her way, giving many of them a fate worse than hell. In order to check her status, she often asks her truth-telling magic mirror who the fairest of them all is. Grimhilde used to be more beautiful than Snow White, but it all changed suddenly when they have grown up. She also wipes out some of Snow's memories (although she lets her gain them back a little later), so she could convince everyone Snow is her daughter and remain in power.

Snow White[]

She ordered her magic mirror to tell her who the fairest of them all is, receiving from him the answer and realizing that Snow is still more beautiful. Because of her envy and desire for maintaining her looks and her infinite power, she calls Snow for a meeting and tortures her while revealing she was her sister and not her mother or guardian. After Snow White leaves the castle back to her house, Grimhilde, filled with envy and lust for power, orders The Huntsman to kill her. However, in secret, The Huntsman didn't complete his mission, as he had a change of heart, and instead of doing his task, he hunted a pig and gave the pig's heart to Grimhilde. The Evil Queen even out of pure ruthlessness and bloodthirsty attitude used her magic to murder the Huntsman infront of her, before realizing he cheated on his task to make sure she spares him and Snow White's life as well. The Queen asks the mirror who is now the fairest to make sure of things. The mirror tells her Snow White lives, and that she is currently holding a heart of a pig, which symbolizes The Evil Queen's wicked and nasty heart. Out of rage, Grimhilde went to the castle's basement and transformed herself into an old hag and an old, scary witch. She plans to trick Snow White into biting from the poisonous magical apple, which would cause her to fall into her infinite sleep until the spell breaks, if it does by an act of true happiness being triggered.

The Hag comes during a stormy night to visit Snow White and her new allies who are the seven dwarfs who currently live with her in the woods. She pretends to be a lonely hag stuck in a thundershower outside while she doesn't have shelter. When Snow takes her to the house in the woods for shelter, The Witch offers her a bite from the magic apple, a gift which Snow accepts reluctantly. The spell works, and Snow faints, and after a short confrontation and successful victory against the dwarf Grumpy, the wicked queen and witch Grimhilde takes Snow's corpse with her to the castle to make sure nobody revives her and "wakes her up". She turns back into her true form as a young and beautiful queen. She orders her forces, led by the barbaric commander Wazari, to fight against the rebellion and Wazari sends a bounty hunter to hunt Prince Judah, who leads the rebellion on the behalf of their actual leader Nirala, after the two of them came back from trying to rescue Snow on time from the woods and lead her back home so she will help them fight against Grimhilde's reign of terror and dictatorship. Grimhilde is confronted by two rebels, whom she kills during the final battle. Grimhilde then uses the mirror's ultimate power, demanding it to fuse with her and turn her into a demonic dragon. However, Judah defeats Wazari before entering the castle to face the queen herself in her dragon form and revive Snow White. The big bad dark and bloodthirsty dragon knocks the prince out, but before Grimhilde could kill Judah, he tells Snow White he loves her, therefore unleashing Snow's true happiness and breaking the spell completely within seconds. Snow White, fully empowered by good magic, wakes up and defeats the queen while Grimhilde's powers fade away. Snow declares that the lands are now hers and not Grimhilde's before shooting a fireball at the dragon, defeating the evil former queen for good and letting Grimhilde dissolve in a magical fire.

Personality[]

Queen Grimhilde is a wicked queen with unlimited ambition for power and a great desire to be pretty and invincible, as her people must view her as their god unconditionally and remain loyal to her no matter what. She often punishes her people either for breaking her rules, standing in her way, rebelling her or even because she herself wants to do so out of sadism. Grimhilde is a monstrous witch inside and outside, even though she does look pretty, but not attracting others like her sister and fake "daughter" Snow White.

She does everything she can for power, not caring for anyone else's life, and only viewing herself as a perfect god like figure and ultimate ruler. She has a bloodthirsty attitude in general, and she murders many innocents for fun and for entertainment while she stays in power.

As a child, Morgana Grimhilde-White was loyal to her father, although using him as against Rachel and Snow by telling him facts about Rachel preferring Snow and forming a rebellion against them both. Larry in retaliation tells Morgana he is proud of her for warning him, and orders her to kill Rachel. However, he did not realize, that for infinite power and fashion, Grimhilde would lead to his downfall, betray him and kill him when she wants. Grimhilde cares more for her power than for her looks, as she would even turn into a demonic dark dragon or an old, ugly and scary hag and witch in order to maintain her power with no losses.

Trivia[]

  • She is the first live-action version of The Evil Queen of Disney, as she came before Disney's official remake. However, she is fanon, so she doesn't really count on the list.
  • After the anti-semitic remarks by Rachel Ziegler and her using Gal Gadot, an Israeli-American actress out of hatred for her official remake, the creator of Hux's Disneyverse known as HuxRen123 who is Israeli himself decided to fight back so he put a Palestinian actress in his artful story.
    • Despite his origin as a boy from Israel, he remarks that nothing of it is political, as it is not meant for a bad purpose and is designed only for fun and creativity.
  • This version of the Evil Queen is much darker as a character than the original, as her story is further explored and she became much more of a monster. The creator implies that this version is "the most evil female villain" he ever made and that if she was made in a real movie, he would be scared to watch it, despite the film being appropriate for kids as well.
  • Furthermore to the actress being Hadid, the Evil Queen's defeat is a honor and reference to the victims and hostages of the October 7th massacre as the word "zeal" directly means Hamas. These are the lines that reference both the Hamas terrorist group and their crimes on Israeli innocents;
This land is mine.. And I shall claim it. Release the people from shadow and terror. The queen’s zeal and lies are all gone forever. Goodbye sister.
~ Snow White while defeating the Evil Queen.
  • This version of Grimhilde is also inspired by the live-action Scar from the 2019-2024 live-action series by the official Disney of The Lion King. Her childhood is further explored, and just like Scar, the evil queen played a major role on both sides during her youth.
