Katsuki Bakugo is the main protagonist of the fanfiction Cain written by aconstantstateofbladerunner based on the popular manga/anime series My Hero Academia.

Much like in canon, Katsuki is an extremely short-tempered egomaniac with xenophobic views towards the Quirkless who actively abuses his classmate Izuku Midoriya for his own sadistic pleasure, however unlike in the final show, Katsuki witnesses All Might and Izuku's talk and becomes determined to get One For All for himself and ensure Deku never succeeds in the hero world.

Biography[]

Katsuki shares the exact same story as his canon counterpart up until the chat between All Might and Deku in the second episode, where Bakugo overhears and discovers the No. 1 Hero's quirk and his plans to give it to Izuku. In a fit of jealousy, Bakugo began stalking Izuku until he discovered his training at the beach and as such decided to threaten All Might into training him or else he'd tell everyone of his condition and power.

After All Might begrudgingly allow him to train with Izuku, Katsuki spends the days attempting to prove himself superior as well as sabotaging Izuku any chance he can, while also badmouthing him to All Might, at one point revealing his xenophobic world view and superiority complex which results in All Might threatening him with learning humility and altruism to be a hero or else he'd stop training him.

During the training sessions, Bakugo would cut his knee very deep with a piece of metal while trying to secretly assault Izuku, forcing All Might to take him to the hospital, on the way there, Bakugo would victimize himself and attempt to appease to All Might that Izuku is an evil mastermind who wants to kill others, revealing that he tried to get him to kill himself, which causes All Might to kick him out of his truck and leave him at the hospital while also threatening him to stay away from Izuku and choosing not to further train him.

An offended Bakugo would then spend the next several weeks making Izuku's life a living hell and each day attack him and give him dark bruises all over his body in the locker rooms, until one day he cornered him, forced him to take his shirt off and took pictures of his bruises which he then would show to Inko by claiming they were hickeys and that he'd seen Izuku leave school often with an old man, leading Inko to the worst assumptions and she then would forbid Izuku from leaving, forcing All Might to reveal his secret to her and explain the situation.

As a result, Izuku transferred schools which caused Bakugo to attack the Midoriya household and threaten Inko to let him in so he could teach Izuku a lesson until All Might stopped him and threatened to arrest him. By the time of the U.A. Entrance Exam, Bakugo would brutally destroy robots in ways that could harm others and actively attack other participants for getting in his way. Afterwards, he sneaked into Recovery Girl's office by breaking his own finger and attempted to murder Izuku by choking him with a pillow until Aizawa came in and stopped him.
