Hayashi Kiba, or known by his alias, Grove Blade, is the main anti-villain and one of the recurring protagonist characters in the 2020 WattPad fanfiction, Jake's Heroic, Critical, Bizarre Adventures. He is a mysterious ninja and skilled assassin on a mission to recreate society in the New World due to the hidden corruption within hero society, believing some heroes alike are in it for fame, money, or wanting of superiority.
He serves as the main antagonist in the Season 1 chapter "Episode 25: The NW Hero Billboard Chart", a recurring anti-villain/hero in Season 2 and Season 3, and the tritagonist in Season 4.
He's originally born in Izuku's world before the Crossover Incident. During before and after the merge, he was trained by the Hero Killer: Stain, his idol and "hero" in his opinion, wishing to make his ideals a reality by becoming his successor. Because from his past while growing up, he was bullied by those wanted to become heroes hypocritically and those who found his quirk impossible to achieve heroism, led him to become hostile against hero society and having extremist ideals of changing it.
After debuting as Grove Blade, he began killing "false" heroes for not only to achieve his ideals, but to make Stain's ideology a reality. However, despite these acts, he still does genuine vigilante work against criminals heroically, proving he still wants to be a hero despite everything that he went through and what he has become.
He is the (friendly) arch-rival of Jake Ryan and Izuku Midoriya, he also seems to have developed a crush on Reiko Yanagi, a member of Class 1B, whose already in a relationship with him.

Personality[]
Hayashi is described to be carefree, calm, kind-hearted, and noble as he is when it comes to his daily normal activities in life or when he's just hanging out with the friends he made. However, when he's Grove Blade, he is merciless and cunning, murdering "false" heroes without a second thought in order to spread his ideology to society.
However, unlike most or some villains, Hayashi sometimes show remorse for the murders and harm he caused, but it was in his own perspective way, a necessary step to showing others an example of a "false" hero does. A major reason to his disdain to heroes he considers "false" is because during his years of growing up, he was look down upon by his peers because of his quirk and was treated like he was weak in general, but another reason was that those who bullied Hayashi wanted to be heroes, but in a hypocrite way, to become heroes for fame, wealth, popularity, and superiority. This led to Hayashi, who wanted to be a hero genuinely, turn over a dark part of him that hates these kinds of people, including the heroes themselves, his most notable example of a "false" hero he hated was none other than Endeavor, who he planned on killing.
His ideologies of what a "true" hero should be were also inspired by Stain, he admires the Hero Killer for his intentions and wished to be like him. After being trained under the Hero Killer, Hayashi, even as Grove Blade, became more strategic and intelligent across his surroundings when it comes to battles or situations.
However, even when inspired by Stain, he's not like him. For differences, unlike Stain who is mentally delusional, Hayashi still maintains his calm and polite demeanor, as well as his sophisticating determination, ensuring that to himself, he wouldn't make the same mistakes Stain made and taught him about.
For remaining a kind person despite his crimes, he still wants to be a hero deep down. Whenever criminals or villains attack other innocent people, Hayashi will take action in protecting them and fighting off those who disturbed the peace, murder or not. Even after becoming what he is now, Hayashi knows better than he has a long way to go for his sins and a hard choice to choose between making his ideology and Stain's a reality or choose to live a life where he can be who he truly wanted to be.
He is also chaste when it comes to women and girls who find him cute, however, by the time he met Reiko Yanagi, he fell in love with her instantly. Believing she was the person capable of being a "true" hero in his viewing, but nevertheless he loved her genuinely and is seen to be very concerning for her safety whenever there's a dangerous situation involving her. Another reason is that they happen to have a lot in common for their love in stories, whilst Reiko's interested in creepypastas, Hayashi was into literature novels.
Despite wanting to eradicate heroes who are "false", he is shown to hold a code of honor when it comes to heroes who are trying to do better in their job without the need for wanting fame or wealth. Shown when he spares Yu Takeyama, aka Mount Lady, when she protected a family from a collapsed building, along with Jake convincing him that not all heroes who want fame or wealth are "false" when some are trying to redeem the meaning of a real hero. Even when accepting this new belief in general, he still holds most of his intentions to make his ideology made equally.
