Seto Hatsuyuki, or known as Cooler, is a one of the central antagonists in the 2020 crossover WattPad fanfiction, Critical Multiverse. He is an average D-Ranked supervillain from Izuku's world and one of the villains Bakugo and Todoroki fought with their licenses.
Unlike the continuity of the mainstream My Hero Academia, he's gotten more backstory to his character, whereas he was the son of a villain named Seltzer and wasn't secretly aware of this back as a child. It was revealed his father tragically died during a bank robbery where one of the Pro Heroes accidentally set fire to the building but was covered up in doing so. This led to Seto becoming Cooler in honors of continuing his father's legacy, but to his father, he never wanted his son to be involved with his "business" given their status as people who lived in poverty.
After years of growing up and facing incrimination for being poor, Seto debuts as Cooler for a short amount of time with his gang when Bakugo and Todoroki intervened. But later on, he was given another chance.

- His full name, Seto (窃盗) means ("larceny") and Hatsuyuki (初雪) means ("first snow of the season") in Japanese. It also refers to his motivations and his outfit appearance.
- There is a running gag where people confused his supervillain name for Cooler, a villain from the Dragon Ball franchise, in which he would compare why he named himself "Cooler" for reasons while some point out he "copyright infringed" the name.
- This is the only version of the Cider House Leader to have an actual name and backstory, which the series of My Hero Academia doesn't confirm much of the latter's history.
