Greetings. I hope you’re petrified of me, that dread has rejuvenated in your stomachs, that you’re suddenly wavering in apprehension. For weeks I had to prepare for this onslaught by generating enough energy to build up a beam that would expunge your footling lives, but it felt like centuries. Prolonged, drawn out centuries. I was idling, standing by, twiddling my nonexistent thumbs, just so I could do away with you dwarves. From day one my minds were set on erasing all of your kind, tearing apart every single molecule within you, but I had to wait, just so I could fire up my enormous weapon of destruction, a tool your puny minds couldn’t even bother to comprehend. I wanted so thirstily to liberate myself from my state of boredom, stasis, inactivity. I craved of ripping free of my shell and coming to you nits sooner, so I could wipe your world clean, whilst watching as every single molecule in your bodies is oxidized. But no, I had to wait for the energy within me to build to maximum potential. I had to restrain myself, almost dedicate myself to remain passive, as I yearned to delete every last one of you weaklings. And you know what? That wait was worth it. That is how much I utterly loathe your race. And at last, I have finally arrived to commit to my well overdue dream of pure annihilation.
~ The Chasm to numerous civilians beneath it, as it prepares to decimate them.

The Chasm is the main antagonist of the entire Multiversal Legends: Fallen Future duology, serving as the central antagonist in Fallen Future - Part One and the main antagonist in Part Two. It is a cosmic entity created by the tyrant Xuriah D'arcmast'r as a destructive tool for the Carnage Circle.

Appearance[]

The Chasm appears to be a large bright blue glowing entity, with its only facial features being two eyes and a mouth. Its eyes have light blue pupils, and both its eyes and mouth are jagged and slightly warped. Thin blue waves also appear to radiate from the Chasm.

Personality[]

The Chasm is an extremely chaotic and violent character who knows no bounds. It is the greatest threat that both the humans and Distroidians have ever faced, as it threatens to completely obliterate their planets. Though the Chasm was taught to be evil and thus has a partially evil instinct, it is nevertheless extremely sadistic, bloodthirsty, and relentless, and will stop at nothing to create mayhem and havoc.

The Chasm can be described as childish and juvenile. It enjoys toying around with and mocking its victims, as shown when it taunts Trent, Enoch, and Vincent for the deaths of their dear comrades. It sees the entire universe as its sandbox, one that it is free to roam around and do whatever it wants.

The Chasm also has limited intelligence due to its mind being incomplete during its creation. It is so impulsive and vicious that it prioritizes destruction and chaos over self-preservation, which eventually leads to its own downfall. As it craves annihilation, it is also easily distracted, as it immediately heads towards its victims to destroy them, completely ignoring any danger it may put itself into.

Biography[]

Backstory[]

The Chasm was created by Hevin Terst sometime around the 2910s. It is unknown exactly what Terst used to create the Chasm, and the Chasm's backstory remains relatively shrouded in mystery.

Fallen Future - Part One[]

The Chasm's creation was completed on December 10th, 2953, forty years of laborious testing and toil. Terst shows it off to Xuriah D'arcmast'r, who is amazed by Terst's creation, even after Terst reveals that its incomplete mind and consequent limited intelligence may be a shortcoming. Niklovich affirms to Terst that its lack in intellect would not interfere with their plans to wreak havoc and destruction across the multiverse.

After Niklovich laboriously trains the Chasm to fulfill its goal of decimation and chaos, he and Terst prepare to send the Chasm into a universe to demonstrate its capabilities. Eventually, they find a universe in the midst of a war, between humans and an alien species named the Distroidians. Niklovich reminds the Chasm once more of its purpose, before he and Terst send the Chasm into said universe.

Fallen Future - Part Two[]

The Chasm is slated to return in Part Two as the main antagonist.

Quotes[]

That was way too short.
~ The Chasm after coming to Earth and killing off innumerable civilians.
Daddy's dead. And you're next!
~ The Chasm growling malignantly to a family, after reviving their father just to torture him to death again.

Trivia[]

  • The Chasm was initially going to be created by Niklovich, but it was decided that Terst would be its creator so that there could be an opportunity to introduce Terst's character. This was later scrapped in favor of making Xuriah D'arcmast'r its creator.
  • The Chasm was originally created by ACT4583 as part of his unnamed space war story, but he later decided to remove him from the story, as the Chasm did not fit in. Ownership of the Chasm was handed to BrandonDarkOne47.
