Tarrick, also known as Void Knight and later Void King, is the secondary antagonist of Power Rangers Dino Fury and a major character in Power Rangers Cosmic Fury.
He is a mysterious warrior who sought to gather the Sporix Beasts to revive his beloved wife Santaura. He was the dangerous terrorist, supervillain and supreme leader of the Sporix Army, and also Dino Fury Rangers's archenemy. He was willing to commit the most atrocious and evil actions to revive his beloved woman and tried to destroy the Power Rangers multiple times. His villainous acts continued for the most of the series, before his eventual redemption when he realized what heinous monster he became and eventually changed sides, joining the Dino Fury Rangers and helping the protagonists defeat his evil wife and save the Earth. However, he was later kidnapped by Santaura and brainwashed into the Void King, the loyal servant of the alien tyrantess. He was later freed from this mind-control by Rangers and rejoined the heroes afterwards.
Tarrick later becomes the leader of the Earth Resistance Force against Lord Zedd's invasion, helping protect the planet while the Cosmic Fury Rangers are away. Following Zedd's defeat, him and Santaura had another daughter named Poppy.
He was played by Jared Turner.
Biography[]
Past[]
Tarrick was a descendant of Rafkonian refugees who had been forced to leave Rafkon 65 million years earlier when the Sporix Beasts destroyed their planet. At some point, he met and married a fellow Rafkonian named Santaura, and this eventually led to her giving birth to a baby girl. They became scrap scavengers to supply the Rafkonians with parts for their ships, but this led to their ship crashing into Earth in the early 2000s. They were picked up by the army and appealed for housing but were imprisoned in the military base Area 62, where they were forcibly detained for study. Sixty-two days into their imprisonment, though, the core became unstable and began exploding, but the resulting hole in the cells was too small for Tarrick or Santaura to escape through, so they gave their daughter to the facility's janitor, Ed Jones. However, just after they fled, the facility exploded, and both Ed and their daughter were presumed dead, which led to her swearing vengeance on humanity before entering a coma for what would become twenty years. Tarrick placed her in a stasis tank and assembled an energy generator to revive her, but he lacked sufficient power, so he was stuck on Earth. Later, while searching the base, he discovered the Dino Knight Morpher in a weapons case and used it to form a set of white and purple armor over himself, adopting the identity of Void Knight.
Dino Fury[]
Finally, in 2021, Tarrick discovers the Sporix Cells kept within Dinohenge and decides to gather them to save Santaurus. Void Knight attacks Dinohenge in search of the Sporix, but is met by Ollie and Amelia as the Dino Fury Blue and Pink Rangers. Void Knight is able to take control of the Hengemen guards and orders them to attack the two new Rangers, only for Zayto to be awakened at that moment and attack Void Knight. The resulting struggle causes the container for the Sporix to break and for them to be spread all over Pine Ridge. After finding the Sporix Cell containing Shockhorn and hatching it, Void Knight thus chooses to leave for the time being to search for the other Sporix.
Shockhorn later finds another Sporix for Void Knight, Dino Fury, who happily accepts the Sporix Beast's offer to join Void Knight's cause. Though Shockhorn is defeated by the Power Rangers, Void Knight recovers his egg which has grown even more powerful in the wake of its defeat. Tarrick and Mucus then bring the Cell to Area 62, where Void Knight placed it in his energy machine.
Later, Tarrick brings Santura into the open and kidnaps five of the Dino Fury Rangers to use the power of the Morphin Grid to awaken her. However, this plan fails thanks to Ollie and Lani Akala and both Tarrick and Santaura are seemingly killed by Aiyon's Mosa Beast Blast. However, he later returns alive and reassumes command as he survived unscathed at the cost of his armor and is eventually able to revive Santaura after taking Occulo's Sporix Cell. However, she decides to use the energy of the Sporix to destroy humanity out of revenge for the death of her daughter. After failing to convince Santaura to give up on her plan and being attacked by her in response, Tarrick decides to side with his ex-enemies the Dino Fury in order to stop his wife while the latter takes over his crew at the same moment. Although he succeeds in giving Zayto his Dino Fury Morpher, he is eventually recaptured and turned into the loyal Void King to aid his wife.
Eventually, Void Queen initiates her endgame by having Tarrick steal all of the Sporix Cells from Dinohenge using a drill. Later, he confronts the Dino Fury Rangers when they infiltrate Area 62 and defeats them only for Amelia to read his mind and realize that he is her father. Upon realizing this as well, he turns back into Tarrick and later seemingly dies trying to destroy the merging Sporix although he survives once again at the cost of his armor. He later reunites with his redeemed wife and, six months later, they have moved into Area 62 with the rest of the Rafkonian Refugees with the army base as their new home.
Cosmic Fury[]
Lord Zedd's invasion[]
After the Rangers returned from Zordnia, with Zayto missing, Ollie corrupted by Zedd, and Javi losing his arm releasing the Cosmic Zords, Tarriack was involved in a massive argument with the Rangers, Mick, and Ed, until Solon, on Amelia's insistence, silenced them with her roaring.
When the Rangers were teleported to Erridus and Zedd invaded Earth, Tarrick and the Rafkonians form a resistance before Tarrick sent the Rangers a message, telling Amelia that Santaura is due anytime soon, telling Javi and Izzy that their parents were taken to a prison Zedd had built, and has a spy in Zedd's army.
After the Rangers' failed attempt to enter Earth and his spy, Heckyl, captured, Tarrick meets up with Zayto and Aiyon before bringing them to his base and meet up with Ed, who brought in Transponders from Grid Battleforce to teleport the Mega Squidrill over Zedd's prison, and free the Rangers and citizens.
Fatherhood Again[]
After Zedd was banished to Nibyro, Santaura gave birth to their daughter prematurely and they send a photo to Amelia, who was at Javi's concert, telling her they named her Poppy, after Ed's nickname.
Personality[]
Although he initially appeared to be another irredeemably evil psychopath like many other Power Ranger villains, Tarrick is a very loving and caring husband willing to do anything to revive his wife. However, he was not beyond threatening his Sporix Beasts that he would destroy them himself to get their Sporix if they failed their mission. Despite his actions, he proved to have a good streak as he sided with the Dino Fury Rangers to stop his wife as he never wished to hurt innocent people.
His Void Knight persona is a mask, as Sporix responds to aggressive leadership.

- He is like Gabriel Agreste because he only wants his wife back.
- He is much like Mr Freeze in the fact that he is trying to save his preserved wife; only to have her gain superpowers and betray him.
- Ironically, he caused the entirety of Dino Fury by not realizing he was in a Rakonian ship, as the Sporix Beasts were stored there; plus not just asking for the Red Ranger's help. Thus leading to the Sporix getting loose.
