Norman Osborn, also known as the Ultimate Green Goblin, or simply the Ultimate Goblin or Green Goblin, is a supporting antagonist in Ultimate Spider-Man, serving as a minor antagonist of The Spider-Verse arc in the third season and a supporting antagonist of the Hydra Attacks/The New Sinister Six arc in the fourth season.
He is a monstrous version of the Green Goblin from another universe. He is the archenemy of his world's Peter Parker/Spider-Man (whom he killed) and Miles Morales/Spider-Man later Kid Arachnid.
He was voiced by Steven Weber, who also voiced his main counterpart and Trapster in the same series, Jack Torrance in the 1997 TV miniseries version of The Shining, Vaughn Du Clark in iZombie, Hugh J. Magnate Jr. in A Fairly Odd Movie: Grow Up, Timmy Turner!, Aldon Webber in Crawl Space and Beyonder in Avengers Assemble.
The Ultimate Green Goblin is a very tall huge olive green, yellow eyed demonic goblin mutant who resembles his counterpart except being bigger than him, has horns on his head, wings, longer claws and wears dark blue pants.
Personality[]
“
A monster after my very own heart.
„
~ Doc Ock amazed by the Ultimate Goblin's villainy.
The Ultimate Green Goblin is much more monstrous than his counterpart and seeing that he loved destroying and killing Spider-Men and harming people and preferred to be his own master and be the true Green Goblin. When he found out what the Siege Perilous could do, he then decided to destroy Spider-Man's universe out of madness. Even when Doctor Octopus tried to reason with him on wanting a weapon and not a destroyer of world's, the Ultimate Green Goblin did not care what would happen or what Doc Ock wanted. However, he did join Doc Ock's Sinister Seven in order to kill Kid Arachnid, Spider-Man and his allies which he believed was his destiny to come to Spider-Man's universe.
History[]
This version's origin may be similar to his counterpart's except that he was much more evil and mutated further into a monstrous version of his counterpart. He fought the Spider-Man of his universe and successfully killed him until Miles Morales took on the role.
Season 3[]

However, the Ultimate Green Goblin smells Miles Morales and Spider-Man out at the graveyard with his counterpart following him. The two Spider-Men and Goblins fight with Green Goblin successfully gaining Miles' DNA and discovering the identity of his Spider-Man after looking at the grave of the Ultimate Peter Parker before escaping. Spider-Man is unable to beat the Ultimate Green Goblin and the latter is delighted with wanting to kill Spider-Man like his killed his Spider-Man. However, after Miles overcomes his failure to help his Spider-Man, he helps Spider-Man defeat the Ultimate Green Goblin.
Season 4[]

However, the Ultimate Green Goblin refuses to leave until he's killed Spider-Man and he proves to be uncontrollable for the villains and continues attacking Spider-Man, Doctor Strange, Doc Ock and Baron Mordo. After Spider-Man brings Miles to his universe to help, the Ultimate Green Goblin seizes the Siege Perilous and discovers and decides that he can destroy Spider-Man's universe and not caring what will happen. The heroes and villains try to stop him but they are unable to get it from him with Baron Mordo getting shattered into another universe and Miles sacrifices everything by destroying the Siege Perilous with his venom blast. The Ultimate Green Goblin meets Doc Ock in the sewers and the latter manages to convince the former that HYDRA wanted to be his master while he wanted an ally who hated Spider-Man as he did and the Ultimate Green Goblin joins the "Sinister Six", seeing it as a way to get revenge on Miles and Spider-Man and kill his allies.
Iron Vulture[]
The Ultimate Green Goblin is only seen in a flashback when Spider-Man explains why Miles is stuck in his universe.
The New Sinister Six - Part 1[]
A while later, the "Sinister Six" attack the Triskelion where they are confronted by the Web-Warriors who retreat to evacuate everybody but Scarlet Spider convinces Spider-Man to fight the group. The "Sinister Six" are about to enter the Triskelion until the are confronted by the Web-Warriors and New Warriors and the groups fight. The Ultimate Green Goblin fights Kid Arachnid (a new spider named for Miles Morales) and Dagger until Kid Arachnid knocks him out with his venom blast. However, it is revealed that Doc Ock used his group to distract the heroes while he entered the Triskelion to get the Anti-Hydra Weapon. He is confronted by Spider-Man and Scarlet Spider until Ultimate Green Goblin, who recovered fast from the fight and defeated Kid Arachnid, appears and knocks Scarlet Spider out. He fights Spider-Man again, believing that it was his destiny to come to his universe but Spider-Man defeated him this time by folding his wings and knocking him against the wall. However, Doc Ock successfully gets the Anti-Hydra Weapon and Scarlet Spider betrays the heroes by tackling Spider-Man down making the latter realize that the former was the spy in S.H.I.E.L.D. Academy. Doc Ock reveals that he actually created the Sinister Seven and that Scarlet Spider was the seventh member. Scarlet Spider then reveals Spider-Man's identity to Doc Ock.
The New Sinister Six - Part 2[]
The Ultimate Green Goblin makes a cameo as one of the defeated members of the Sinister Seven. Doc Ock uses the Anti-Hydra Weapon to not only bring HYDRA Island back but also turns it into OCTOPUS Island However, Scarlet Spider defects from the group after finding out that Doc Ock only saw him as a servant and foils the villain's plan by "sacrificing" himself to crash HYDRA/OCTOPUS Island into the ocean.
Return to the Spider-Verse - Part 3[]
The Ultimate Green Goblin is only mentioned when Kid Arachnid tries to use his venom blast on the Phantom Rider but it doesn't work much to Kid Arachnid's shock since it always worked on the Ultimate Green Goblin.
It is unknown what happened to the Ultimate Green Goblin afterwards even after the end of the series but it is possible that he is in S.H.I.E.L.D. custody.
Powers and abilites[]
Unlike his mainstream counterpart, this Green Goblin has taken a serum that has drastically increased his goblin-based development and given him superpowers beyond his counterpart's powers, size, and restrictions. His skills and talents are significantly more advanced than those of the other Goblins. This Goblin also appears to be devoid of any technology or gadgetry, most likely due to his near-unstoppable nature. His dragon-like wings allow him to fly at fast speeds, blast fire from his eyes, and produce and fling fireballs. He can also expel fire. He possesses at least three times the strength of his alternate counterpart. He is swift enough to catch Spider-Man escaping by rapidly web-swinging. He is so tough that a high-powered explosive can explode in his jaws. After being stung by the venom blasts, he was also dazed for a few minutes. His skin is also 10 times stronger than that of the original Goblin. He has no need for food, drink, air, sleep, or anything else. He could smell Ultimate Spider-exact Man's position from a long distance away. He has a highly evolved metabolism, which allows him to recuperate from any type of physical trauma faster than humans. He once took a powerful grenade to the lips and awoke a few minutes later with no residual symptoms or damage.
Trivia[]
This incarnation of the Green Goblin is an amalgam of his Ultimate and 2099 counterparts, having the wings and semi-demonic vibe of the latter and the size, powers, personality and overall appearance of the Ultimate version.
The fate of the Ultimate Green Goblin will remain unknown seeing as the he never appeared for the rest of the series.
He shares his counterpart's theme music.
In Season 3, the Ultimate Green Goblin's voice is a deeper booming voice. However, in Season 4, he oddly has the same lower voice of his counterpart.
