Backstory[]
Sid was an executive at Lorimar television which is defunct in the present day and had a history of abusing his subordinates. Sid became extremely wealthy which he used to buy a nice house and membership into country clubs.
He married Laura Lawrence after her husband left and hated her son Johnny for no apparent reason. When Johnny wanted lessons at John Kreese's dojo Cobra Kai, Sid laughed at him and insulted him repeatedly, even after Laura asked him to stop. However, Sid did reluctantly pay for Johnny's lessons.
Cobra Kai[]
After Johnny beats up Kyler Sid bails him out as he promised Laura he would look out for her son. However Sid still calls him a loser and berates him for the fathering of his son Robby Keene. Sid offers Johnny some money, wanting to buy him out of his life but Johnny refuses to take a handout from him due to their past. Later on Johnny uses the money to restart the Dojo.
He returns the money to Sid who then says Johnny needed someone else's money to make anything of his life. Johnny leaves after calling out Sid on never giving him any love and only supporting him financially.
Johnny later comes to Sid's house, asking for money to fund the surgery for Miguel Diaz. SId again mocks him, calling him a loser just like his father. Johnny tries to blackmail him by threatening to reveal an undisclosed incident between Sid and his secretary. Sid retorts that his reputation doesn't matter and tells Johnny to get out. Johnny then steals Sid's expensive souvenir with the intent of selling it to use the money to help Miguel.
