Sakakura is a "phantom thief" hired by the Tatewaki Konzern and an antagonist in episode 7 of Tokusou Robo Janperson.
He is portrayed by Shoichiro Akaboshi.
Biography[]
Sakakura was employed by Ryuzaburo Tatewaki to steal various valuable items for his collection. Tatewaki eventually set his sights on the "Snow Queen", a diamond once owned by the Imperial Russian family said to be the most valuable diamond in the world, and directed Sakakura to steal it. To aid Sakakura in his plan, Tatewaki provided him with a device that would allow him to sync with a person's mind waves and control their movements. Sakakura planned to use this device to hypnotize Yurika Shinohara, a girl whose great-grandmother had once served the Imperial Russian family, and have her steal the Snow Queen for him.
After Yurika fell ill and was transported to the hospital for treatment, Sakakura secretly had a chip planted on her which would allow him to control her movements with the device. For the next three months, Sakakura used the device to make Yurika perform various foul acts, such as swapping the sugar in coffee with salt or smashing a vase, in preparation for having her steal the Snow Queen. However, her brainwaves synced with a boy named Mitsuru who had a crush on her, causing him to experience the acts Sakakura was making her do. After finding out that Yurika was going to present the Snow Queen, Mitsuru and his friends attempted to warn people about her, only to be captured by Sakakura and his goons. After having Yurika pocket the Snow Queen and swap it out for a fake, Sakakura brought her to his secret and revealed the chip he was using to control her. After shutting off the chip and releasing Yurika from his control, Sakakura pulled out a rifle and attempted to kill all the kids to cover up any witnesses to his acts, but Janperson arrived and stopped him.
Janperson shielded the children and fought off Sakakura's goons, but one of their pistols landed near Yurika. Sakakura then used his device to make Yurika pick up the gun, planning to have her shoot Mitsuru and his friends. However, with careful aim, Janperson was able fire a shot that knocked the chip off her neck and blew the pistol out of her hands. Janperson then defeated Sakakura and brought him and his goons to the police to be arrested before taking off.
