B is a minor antagonist in Xenoblade Chronicles 3. He is the Consul of Colony 9 and the one responsible for causing Noah, Eunie and Lanz to become outcasts of Keves.

Appearance[]

B is an armored warrior with red eyes, whose helmet is shaped like a snarling oni, with thick, yellow eyebrows and three large fins on the top.

Biography[]

Little is known about B's origins. He served as the Consul of Colony 9, the home base for main characters Noah, Eunie, Lanz, and Riku. But when the heroes unintentionally awaken their Ouroboros powers during their fight with D, B tricks the remaining colony members into thinking that they were traitors who went rogue, forcing them to retreat. He is later seen meeting with the other Consuls deciding who will next battle the Ouroboros following the death of K. He was actually nice enough to defend K, saying that his plan was foolproof if there hadn't been Black Fog, calling it bad luck that it was there at the time. D, however, disagreed with B while mentioning the Iris, though the other consuls called him out about this due to his own failures beforehand. B agreed with the other consuls to let J battle the Ouroboros alone next.

Later on, Noah and friends decide to head back to Colony 9 and expose the truth to everyone. They defeat Zeon who then decides to bring them to the colony for questioning. After proving their loyalty to the colony by defeating squad of Agnian soldiers, B appears to welcome them back. He applauds Zeon's efforts for bringing the traitors to him. Zeon asked B where he was; B replies that he was watching from the sidelines and remarks that the battle was more spectacular than the more recent fights. Zeon asks what he was talking about, to which B tells him of his "droll skirmish" for letting the team surfaced as allies with Agnus, but now it was time for the colony to gain a promotion. He also mocks the recent deceased soldiers being a disgrace to the colony. The party angrily berate him for insulting Mwamba's death, but B orders them to be quiet. Assuming them to be still exhausted from fighting, he claims that he will be pleasured as he crushes them.

B then proceeds to attack the party, but Zeon protects them, claiming that he would rather aid the so-called rebels who risked their lives for them instead of a leader who wouldn't care less for their survival. B accuses Zeon of insubordination and attacks him. With him distracted, Mio and Noah destroy Colony 9's Flame Clock, freeing the colony from the never-ending war. Zeon tells B that they fight because they want to live before everyone draws their weapons at B. B insists that all defectors were to be eliminated and transforms into his Moebius form. After a big battle, the team and Zeon defeat B. As he dies, B taunts the party claiming that they will never have a future, only suffering and despair.
