Behind the scenes[]

In the new Star Wars canon, a whaladon appeared on an encounter card in the 2019 Fantasy Flight Games board game Star Wars: Outer Rim.[3] They originated as a sentient species in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where they first mentioned in the 1994 reference book A Guide to the Star Wars Universe, Second Edition, Revised and Expanded, which was written by Bill Slavicsek.[4]
