Storm Squadron was an elite^[2] starfighter squadron within the Imperial Starfighter Corps of the Galactic Empire. At one point during the Imperial Era, an ace pilot from Storm Squadron flew a TIE Advanced x1 close to a city.^[1] Despite the TIE Advanced x1 having a very short and limited production run, there were enough constructed and deployed that they became favorites within elite Imperial units, such as Storm Squadron.^[2]

Behind the scenes[]

Storm Squadron debuted in the current Star Wars canon in the Galactic Empire Conversion Kit of Fantasy Flight Games' Star Wars: X-Wing Second Edition miniatures game, specifically in the "Storm Squadron Ace" card.^[1] This kit was released in September 13, 2018.^[3] Storm Squadron originally appeared in Star Wars Legends with Star Wars Galaxies: Jump to Lightspeed, which was released on October 27, 2004.^[4]
