Natchgas was a type of gas produced by bio-converter power generators, which created it by converting liquid sludge consisting of animal and municipal waste that was fed into the power generators by underground pipes. By 32 BBY[2] bio-converter power generators were used in the homes of enslaved individuals on the desert planet Tatooine, including the Skywalker home in Slave Quarters Row in the city of Mos Espa,[1]
Behind the scenes[]
Natchgas was first mentioned in the 2000 reference book Inside the Worlds of Star Wars: Episode I, which was written by Kristin Lund.[1]
