The Aristocra was an organization within the Chiss Ascendancy's legislative and executive body, the Chiss Syndicure.[1] Its members formed part of the ruling class of the Chiss species in the Chiss Ascendancy.[2] The Aristocra was a part of the Syndicure which included representation from the Forty Great Families.[1]
The term Aristocra was also a title and rank among Chiss families. While the rank of Aristocra specifically referred to midlevel officials of a Chiss family, the title Aristocra was also used less formally to refer to any official within the Syndicure of rank Aristocra proper or higher.[1]
