"Steel Licks 70" was composed by Jeremy Wakefield. It is the seventieth segment of the numerous "Steel Licks." It features a short steel guitar lick being played and it plays in many episodes, starting with season 6. Starting with "Smoothe Jazz at Bikini Bottom," this steel lick has been replaced by "Hot Steel and Slide Licks 35." It is mostly used to punctuate a sad outcome.
