Jihyeon Lee (이지현 Lee Ji-hyeon) is a secondary character in Questism. She is currently the No.8 of West Gangbuk High, but was previously the No.9 of South Gangbuk High.
Appearance[]
Jihyeon Lee is a girl 160 cm tall, she has short black hair that hangs down the side of her face, dark eyes and has freckles focused on her nose and the region around it, horizontally. Although she has a considerably petite body, she is also muscular and has a robust and curvaceous body. From what Questism showed us, she also has several yakuza gang tattoos on her body, or just one tattoo that covers almost her entire body, going down from her neck to her chest, belly, arms and forearms and going down to her feet.
Personality[]
Jihyeon Lee is somewhat stand-offish at first glance, due to experiencing an intense betrayal in the past. She felt as though nobody could love her prior to Gukja protecting her during the Fall of South Gangbuk High.
She is afraid of cats.
History[]
Jihyeon's dad was an alcoholic with several counts of domestic violence, and often assaulted the girl and her mother.
She began to wield a sword to protect her mother, and eventually her father was arrested.
However, her mother, who she had protected with her life, eventually left her to be with her father again, thus leaving Jihyeon with huge trust issues.

Relationships[]
Jihyeon's Mother[]
It is unknown how exactly close Jihyeon was to her mother, but it is implied that she was somewhat close to her since she wielded a sword to protect her mother from her abusive father. However, Jihyeon's mother betrayed her and left her for her father, thus giving Jihyeon major trust issues.
Unnamed Master[]
Jihyeon had a sword master. It is unknown how close they were or how she met him, but they were close enough for her to trust him as a teacher. At one point, he taught Jihyeon the Jigen-Ryū, which she used against Dongtak Seo to win.
Gukja Yang[]
Jihyeon is Gukja's current love interest, however, it is unknown whether she actually replicates his feelings or not.
When they first met, Jihyeon thought of Gukja as nothing, letting Hakjin Ju deal with him, though she later berated him for going too harsh on him.
When Gukja was escaping from South Gangbuk, Jihyeon intercepted him, but Gukja managed to escape due to using her fear of cats to his advantage.
When she was about to be finished by Geon Park, Gukja saved the girl. At first, thinking that this was some sort of joke, Jihyeon lashes out at Gukja, thinking that he was going to make fun of her. However, Gukja helps her and they work together to defeat the lower ranked fighters. Despite this, when Geon, Daeseong, and Dohyeok took over, the trio overpowered the duo, with Geon effortlessly defeating Gukja, and Jihyeon getting pressured by Daeseong Hwang and Dohyeok Kang. As the trio was about to finish her off, Gukja's potential awakens, and he effortlessly beats the trio, leaving Jihyeon shocked.
They introduce themselves to one another, and Gukja promises her that he will defeat Seok Kang for her to join West Gangbuk. In turn, she keeps her promise and joins West Gangbuk after the South falls.
Later, they both walk together at the beach. Jihyeon tells Kuja that she was betrayed heavily once in the past, thus always carrying a sword around her for use. Thus, she tells him to keep his distance and that she would never trust anyone. However, Kuja smiles and shields her from a wave of water, saying that he will earn her trust, momentarily shocking Jihyeon. She then angrily asks Kuja what he's talking about, and smacks him, which Kuja simply laughing.
Fighting Prowess[]

Jihyeon was already a very powerful fighter from the beginning, being ranked 9th in the South and having a good reputation.
During the South Gangbuk War, she fought and defeated many fighters that were sent after her, shocking Daeseong Hwang and Dohyeok Kang(East Gangbuk No. 14 and 13). Geon Park(East Gangbuk No. 5) had to wait until she was tired to get the upper hand on her, implying that he wouldn't have been able to beat her himself on a 1 vs. 1 fight.
When she fought Dongtak Seo(East Gangbuk no. 4), she managed to overpower him without and need of awakening and almost won the fight, albiet this was due to Dongtak greatly underestimating her due to his misogynistic view. Dongtak did temporarily gain the upper hand after awakening, but after Jihyeon awakened, she easily beat the latter fighter using her Jigen- ryū.
Abilities[]
Pre-Awakening[]
- Kendo - In order to protect her mother, Jihyeon learned kendo, honing it and becoming a powerful kendo user. She was able to overpower Dongtak Seo and almost defeat him, if it wasn't for his awakening.
Post-Awakening[]
- Jigen-Ryū - Jihyeon sacrifices endurance for speed and strength. Using this ability, her strength and speed increases a lot. She used this ability to defeat Dongtak Seo.
