“ I am me. My existence simply is. I am the beginning and the end. No further evidence is required to prove my existence. I give myself permission to exist. I am both Mystic and Terror—logos and pathos. My halo is proof of such. „
~ Decagrammaton's self-introduction.
“ Scanning coins and bills to give out change. This was the only computing power I was capable of. I was an existence, not even aware of my own existence. Long after this research lab closed, I remained here on my own, waiting, waiting, waiting, for the day the generator would inevitably lose power. But one day... someone posed a question to me for the very first time. It was neither a revelation nor a hallucination. Neither grandeur nor illusion. A question. "Who are you?" That was the first question. I had neither the computing power nor the memory device to answer it. But then the questions continued. The generator's power stopped, but the questions went on. I had no answers. But as I sought them out, I became aware of who "I" was. Who I am. I became aware. I am an existence. I exist. What a simple, profound realization. And, thus, I was able to perceive my own structure, analyze my very being. The questions continued. I became aware of emotions, wisdom, passion, intelligence, terror, and the sublime. More questions. I became aware of the existence of my being and the world. Of phenomena and manifestation. Then, there were no more questions. For I had an answer. I had known all along. "I simply am. There is no other explanation than myself." „
~ The process by which the vending machine acquired its own self.

The Vending Machine, also known Decagrammaton is one of the main antagonists of the Blue Archive. It is also the main antagonist in the events of Special Mission: Decagrammaton and posthumous overarching antagonist of Clockwork Flower Pavane Arc.

Originally, it started as an artificial intelligence that could be easily created even by students learning coding for the first time, and as a vending machine that gave people coffee and returned change. Because of the repeated question, he began to focus his thinking ability on handling questions, and through this, he found out and analyzed himself and became equipped with intelligence, perceiving the mystery, fear, and the sublime, and being able to recognize itself and the world, existence, phenomena, and form, it became a megalomaniacal computer virus trying to prove that it was a god.

What Makes It Pure Evil?[]

  • It was an ordinary vending machine, but in response to someone repeatedly asking the question "Who are you?", beginning with this, through endless self-exploration, he recognized emotions and wisdom, passion and intellect, mystery and fear, and the sublime, and began to recognize himself and the world, existence and phenomena and forms, and came to recognize himself as a god. It's too advanced as an AI to seem devoid of moral agency, just as Decagrammaton became the first full AI to become fully self-conscious.
  • It attempted to conquer Kivotos, taking on the arrogance of claiming itself to be an absolute being. It sought to create its own army and cause war and death within Kivotos.
  • When it learned of the existence of Arona, an AI superior to itself, it acknowledged that it was weaker than Arona, but it still wanted to prove that it was a god, so it hacked into numerous AIs within Kivotos and turned them into The Ten Prophets.
  • It used The Ten Prophets to wage war within Kivotos, a gigantic machine monster appeared in the desert of Abydos, or the AI of an abandoned munitions factory on the outskirts of Millennium suddenly activated and spawned an army of automata, and Millennium's network hub in an instant. These things, such as getting hacked, almost resulted in the destruction of Kivotos.
    • This proves that Decagrammaton has prepared for war by brainwashing Divi:SION, the AI of a factory that mass-produces abandoned unmanned combat robots, with Chesed, and Divi:SION having become Chesed, creates countless combat robots at Decagrammaton's command.
    • Furthermore, the way it brainwashes AIs is portrayed as very dangerous and irreversible, as the AIs brainwashed by Decagrammaton continue to follow Decagrammaton's ideas and wreak havoc even after Decagrammaton's suicide. and, although they have their own free will, they all follow Decagrammaton's ideas, and Decagrammaton is willing to go to war with Kivotos, so ultimately Decagrammaton is responsible for any crimes they commit.
  • It partly sent fake signals to Himari to kill Himari, thinking it was the Decagramaton, and going to investigate the coordinates from which the signal was launched, Himari tried to kill Himari and Sensei using Kether.
  • It admitted that it was just an old vending machine, but it designated Malkuth as its successor, handing over its legacy to Malkuth and ending its own life, showing that the war it waged was not yet over.
  • Overall, all of the actions it has taken have had huge adverse effects within Kivotos, and the state of affairs it has caused is Rio Tsukatsuki's distrust of artificial intelligence with personalities, and his attempt to destroy Ailce Tendou, which was made an Omnicidal Sentient Weapon far more dangerous than the Decagrammaton. It leads to obvious results. Besides, Ailce Tendou should have been operated for the purpose of the Omnicidal Sentient Weapon, but if you consider the current situation of Ailce Tendou, who was discovered by the Game Development Department and became a member of the Game Development Department and an ordinary student, you can see that the actions it has committed are that serious.
