When a Nighlok who uses insults as a weapon to inflect physical harm upon his victims and attacks the Samurai Rangers, only Emily is unaffected. To help her teammates, she explains how difficult events in life become an opportunity to grow stronger.
Plot[]
During battle training, Emily accidentally injures Mike in the arm, Emily's attempts to care for his arm by using a bag of frozen peas. Mike was running away but Emily chased after him causing her to slip over a bag of peas on the floor, landing head first on the bag she was holding causing them to spill out. Emily felt really bad on the mess she made. she tries to clean them up but slips on them again.
Octoroo welcomed Negatron aboard Xandred's Junk, and Negatron started insulting him and Octoroo tells him that his mouth is also open like a convivence store, and he also told him to rip those insults on the human world and make the Sanzu River flood the earth.
Back at the Shiba House, Emily was gargling water and Mike asked if she was ok and she accidentally spit on Mike's face and apologized. Mike told Emily that she doesn't have to apologize to anything and that she was trying to help. Emily wished that she could be like Mia, but every time she tried to do something good, she turned it into a big mess. Mike told Emily that he was serious about talking to herself like that and he also told her to give herself a break.
The Nighlok Negatron appears and subjects his victims to insults that hurt their feelings so deeply that the verbal abuse actually becomes a physical assault.
Confronting him all the Rangers are struck down by Negatron's attacks save for Emily who is unaffected as the Nighlok is forced to retreat, much to the surprise of her teammates.
Back at the Shiba House, Mentor Ji applies to the Rangers that Negatron is a bully who causes emotional and physical pain with his speech attacks. Mia admits that he got her off guard and promises it won't happen again. Mike confirms that he did have training wheels, but he didn't need them. Mia asked that if she is a good cook, and everyone claims yes. Kevin asked if he was boring, and Jayden said that he's extremely disciplined and orderly.
Mike said that Emily was the only one who wasn't affected by Negatron's insults and asked why he couldn't hurt her. Mentor Ji answered that Emily had a special power. Emily said that she was teased and been called names as a kid, but her sister told her to just pretend like the person teasing her didn't say anything at all and it worked. Mike asked why she was always putting herself down and that it didn't make no sense unless it's what she really thought about herself. After Emily walks away devastated, Mia told Mike that Negatron can't hurt her feelings, but he can.
In the clubhouse, Bulk tells Spike that their encounter with Negatron is a reminder of how nasty the Nighlok can be. Spike asked Bulk if they can really be samurai warriors and that it was pretty scary. Bulk reminds Spike that a samurai shouldn't doubt himself and that they have to train harder.
In Xandred's Junk, Negatron tests his skills on Dayu much to her anger, who then tries to attack him but is stopped by Master Xandred. Xandred is pleased with Negatron's progress and orders him back into the human world.
Emily tells Mike how her older sister Serena taught her to ignore insults as a child and how she took her sister's place.
When Negatron returns, he is only interested in Emily as he sends Moogers to handle the rest of the Rangers. Negatron continues spewing insults at her to no avail until he remarks on how she would never be as good as Serena. Emily falters briefly, much to Negatron's delight, but she does not get sent flying away as she resumes attacking him. With Mike's help, she is able to shut Negatron's mouth by filling it with rocks, allowing Jayden to destroy him with the 5-Disc Beetle Cannon.
Negatron revives as a Mega Monster and as Bulk and Spike look on, the Rangers destroy him with the Beetle Blaster Megazord.
At the end of the fight, Emily falls unconscious. Later, the Rangers are then seen walking along the sidewalk while Mike carries Emily. Mia hears an ice cream truck and Emily, who has been faking unconsciousness for a few minutes at least, pretends to wake up so they can all get ice cream.

Errors[]
- Mike got a call from his Samuraizer. He was in the Shiba House with Emily, so instead of Mike getting a call of a Nighlok alert from his Samuraizer, the Gap Sensor should've gone off. However it’s possible Negatron didn’t set it off and they found him and informed him or somebody working for them reported the attack to Mike.
- When Emily trips over the peas for the second time, for a split second, Mike can be seen laughing and putting his hands to his face (whether or not this was intentional or a blooper is unknown), but in the very next shot with a close-up of Emily, Mike has his hands down with a disappointed look on his face.
- When it was down to Emily in first battle, close up, the camera crew can be seen reflecting off her helmet.
Notes[]
- This episode is the first to hint that Jayden is keeping a secret from the rest of the Rangers.
- This episode's title is based on the children's nursery rhyme of the same name.
- Negatron should have used his hands to remove the rocks from his mouth.
