Monkeywi is a Rinshi who uses the battle style of Baboon. He serves Grizzaka. He served as the main antagonist of the episode "Friends Don't Fade Away".
History[]
Monkeywi was the personal Rinshi of Grizzaka. After Grizzaka overthrew Dai Shi/Jarrod, he summoned Monkeywi and sent him and a group of Rinshi to Ocean Bluff to gather the fear of people. Since his master was the most powerful Overlord, Monkeywi was also a powerful fighter.
Monkeywi encountered RJ, who was looking for someone who can stop him from turning into a werewolf until the Rangers arrived. Monkeywi fought the Rangers when suddenly RJ turned into a werewolf again and attacked them. Monkeywi used this opportunity to flee.
Monkeywi later returned, where he successfully fought with the Rangers by shooting fire blasts from his mouth. But then RJ appeared and morphed into the Wolf Ranger for the first time, destroying the monster with his Morpher's attack.
Grizzaka used the power of Zocato to revive and enlarge Monkeywi. In the giant fight, Monkeywi fought the Jungle Pride Megazord and badly damaged its Cheetah leg, but RJ replaced it with his new Wolf Zord. Monkeywi was destroyed by the Wolf Pride Megazord.

Monkeywi is a cunning and destructive Rinshi. He is a very formidable opponent for the Rangers, but he is highly faithful to Grizzaka.

- Mouth Fire Blasts: Monkeywi can shoot dark red or indigo fire blasts from his mouth powerful enough to cripple the Jungle Pride Megazord's Cheetah leg and injure Lily enough to take her out of the fight.
Abilities[]
- Superhuman Strength: Monkeywi is an incredibly strong Rinshi Beast, being able to overpower the three main Rangers. When giant, he was able to restrain the Jungle Pride Megazord long enough to drill it easily.
- Superhuman Speed: Monkeywi can run faster than the speed of light, appearing only as a blue phantom capable of knocking down all three Rangers.
- Superhuman Agility: Monkeywi, being a baboon-themed monster, was seen jumping and diving all over the place, at one point jumping higher than the Jungle Pride Megazord so he could restrain it.
- Rinshi Summoning: Monkeywi can summon an army of Rinshi at will.
Weaknesses[]
- Strength Limit: There is a limit in Monkeywi's strength since he was easily overwhelmed by the Wolf Pride Megazord.

- Claws: Monkeywi has sharp claws that he can use in combat.
- Energy Empowerment: Monkeywi can slash at his opponents with white-yellow energy gathered from his claws, being strong enough to cause large explosions.

Design[]
Monkeywi is a large anthropomorphic white-furred monkey. He wears red and black multicolored baboon-themed armor with black boots lined with fluffy white fur.
