Minami Juuji System

The Minami Juuji System (ミナミジュウジ座系, Minamijuuji-za-kei, Southern Cross System), composed of four individual solar systems including Gacrux and Acrux, is a cross-shaped constellation system, the center of which contains the planet Southern Cross, on which Don Armage, shogun of the Space Shogunate Jark Matter, is based. TV STORY-Space.36: The Legend That Sleeps in Lucky's Homeworld Also located in this system is the planet Minami, home to the Karo Southern King,^[1] and Crystalikall, home to the assassin Ikargen.

Originally ruling as king of the Minami Juuji System, Southern King, who held the philosophy that the weak were destined to serve the strong whom dominated the universe, chose to sell out his people by joining Don Armage's Space Shogunate Jark Matter in exchange for power, receiving the title of Karo. After being freed from Akyanba's control, Naga Rei became aware that Don Armage was located somewhere in the Minami Juuji System but could not recall exactly where. TV STORY-Space.32: Orion, Forever Using the Genbikyo Kyutama to shrink down, Balance personally retrieved the precise constellation co-ordinates from Naga's head, allowing him to pinpoint Don Armage's location to Southern Cross. With this confirmation, the Kyurangers set off in the Orion Battler to Southern Cross in order to confront Don Armage. TV STORY-Space.34: Mysterious Masked Warrior, Appears

Advancing on Southern Cross, the Kyurangers found that they could not enter the Minami Juuji System as the entire constellation was protected by a barrier as well as a fleet of Moraimars and Moaiders, forcing a hasty retreat. TV STORY-Space.36: The Legend That Sleeps in Lucky's Homeworld

When Tsurugi Otori recalled that the Shogun's barrier was previously broken by a quartet of sages respectively from the Andromeda, Cepheus, Perseus and Cassiopeia Systems, the Kyurangers realized they could use the associated Kyutamas to recreate that feat. The Minami Juuji Kyutama (ミナミジュウジキュータマ, Minami Jūji Kyūtama, lit. Southern Cross Nine Ball) is the Skill Kyutama which embodies the constellation Crux. It is one of 9 out of the 88 Kyutamas which have yet to be revealed as of the conclusion of the Uchu Sentai Kyuranger TV series.
