This article is about a giant monster in Mashin Sentai Kiramager. |
Hammer Basra (ハンマーバスラ Hanmā Basura) was a hammer-themed Basra type Jamen Beast from the Dark Empire Yodonheim. It was released by the invasion gate created from the dark energy gathered by Whac-A-Mole Jamen.
History[]
Hammer Basra is first seen in the very first scene of the episode where the Kiramagers fight it in Land Mage Lifton & Rolland but it easily shrugs off a smack to the side of its head and two slashes from the Jetter Sword before using its hammer head to smack them back. As the Kiramagers wonder how Carantula gathered enough energy to unleash it when no Jamenshi has appeared yet, Land Mage unleashes an energy hammer attack but Hammer Basra counters with one of it's own and is stronger so the formation is knocked flat. With its opponent down, it smacks its hammer head into the ground and tunnels away to escape as the Kiramagers watch on. Later that day, once Takamichi Crystaria confronts Whac-A-Mole Jamen with Tametomo and Juru, Galza has Carantula send Hammer Basra back to the city to keep the remaining three Kiramagers from interfering with the Jamenshi's game. As Tametomo delivers a speech to Whac-A-Mole Jamen about not giving up because he is a Kiramager, Mashin Mach slams into Hammer Basra's hammer but bounces off as a massive energy beam from Mashin Fire stuns it and Mashin Helico's propellers cut into it's top but even that is thrown off by the unfazed Jamen Beast.
Just as Tametomo finishes off Whac-A-Mole Jamen with his Kiramai Buster, Mashin Mach has to dodge back from being crushed under Hammer Basra's hammer as the Kiramagers are unsure of how to stop the undefeatable Jamen Beast. Fortunately, Takamichi arrives in Mashin Drijan with Tametomo and Mashin Shovellow riding with him throwing the Mashin Stone at Hammer Basra in the Wonder Throw attack, launching Shovellow at the enemy as it changes into its Mashin mode to deliver a hit with it's scoop strong enough to wipe out Hammer Basra. The Kiramagers form Kiramaizin as Drijan keeps the Jamen Beast distracted with multiple stabs to it's feet and behind before catching its hammer head in the Mashin's claw arm and throwing him down. However, Hammer Basra bounces right off of the ground due to his hammer being like the novelty ones in the fairground with the bounce-back being enough to stun Kiramaizin. It then smacks around the Giant Robo and Drijan, a single roundhouse swipe of its head wiping out Kiramaizin. Fortunately, with some inspiration from Princess Mabushina, Takamichi uses Drijan's drill to energize and stab Hammer Basra right before it could flatten his Zord. Using advice from Muryou, Takamichi is then able to become a Kiramai Stone and fuse with Drijan to become GigantDriller as Kiramaizin just sits down in awe to watch. Hammer Basra immediately fires a massive barrage of energy from its hammer but GigantDriller just walks through them and immediately stabs the Jamen Beast with its drills before catching its hammer head in its pincer and delivering a devastating one two jab with its drill arm. Using the Driller Knuckle, it easily knocks back Hammer Basra though nearly tailing out Kiramaizin in the process which allows the Jamen Beast to charge at it in an attempted surprise attack only to be grabbed by its hammer head and thrown down by the Driller Swing. GigantDriller then finishes off Hammer Basra with the Gigant Crash, obliterating it instantly by drilling straight through its head.
Personality[]
Hammer Basra was a violent and brutally efficient Jamen Beast who spoke only in roars and growls. However, it displayed a habit of using its hammer head to smack and bash the Mecha.
Powers and Abilities[]

Abilities[]
- Strength: Hammer Basra was strong enough to bludgeon knock back Land Mage with a single strike from its hammer head as well as throw off Mashin Helico just by bucking its head.
- Durability: Hammer Basra was an incredibly durable monster to the point of Mashin Rolland even commenting on it after a smack from it and the Jetter Sword were completely ineffective. Being blasted in the "face" by Mashin Fire and Mashin Helico trying to cut its hammer tip off had no effect.
- Bouncing-When knocked on its back, Hammer Basra was able to spring back onto its feet because its hammer head was based upon a novelty hammer which you'd find at a carnival where it's extra springy.
Weaknesses[]
- Vulnerable Hammer Head-Although Hammer Basra's hammer head is the source of its greatest strength and many of its powers, it is also its greatest weakness. If it gets grabbed by its hammer head and picked up, it would be helpless and only able to flail uselessly.
Arsenal[]
- Claws: Hammer Basra had large claws which it could use to maul its enemies but it never actually used them however.
- Hammer Head-Hammer Basra has a massive Whac-A-Mole hammer covering its head which it can use to smack its enemies.
- Energy Empowerment-Hammer Basra could charge up his hammer head with yellow energy for an increase in power.
- Hammer Smack-Hammer Basra's strongest attack where, after charging up its hammer head, it would smack its enemies with devastating force. It was strong enough to take down an equally strong attack from Land Mage and send it to the ground.
- Tunneling: Hammer Basra could escape by hammering a tunnel into the ground using his hammer head.
- Hammer Blast: Hammer Basra could fire purple energy blasts from the front of its hammer head in rapid succession. These caused large explosions but had no effect on GigantDriller.
- Energy Empowerment-Hammer Basra could charge up his hammer head with yellow energy for an increase in power.
