Pokémon the Series: The Beginning[]

Oswald is a scientist who believed that aliens were taking the stuff from the citizens. After a search, he, Ash, Brock and Misty discovered that a group of Clefairy were taking the stuff to power their spaceship. Attempting to control the ship, he and the others fell asleep when Jigglypuff sang the song. Though he stayed on the ship, he got out when the Clefairy needed more stuff for the space ship.

Pokémon the Series: Gold and Silver[]

When the heroes encountered a Cleffa, they remembered that a bunch of Clefairy were repairing their space ship, so Oswald was tracking them.
