Pokémon the Series: The Beginning[]

These are a group of local boys in Kanto region's Dark City. They, along with the restaurant owner, helped Ash, Misty and Brock solve the turf war between the two opposing gyms. In the end, after a change of heart, they all want to become Pokémon trainers.
