Like the previous Vita port, Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus features the Hero difficulty setting, which allows Ryu to automatically block, dodge, and have access to infinite ninpo when he is low on health.
In addition, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus introduces two new modes, Ninja Race and Turbo. In Ninja Race mode Ryu races toward a goal, grabbing items for a speed boost and chaining kills to increase his attack power. Turbo mode has players going through Chapters at high-speed.
