Denroku (伝六?) is a member of the Hayabusa Ninja Clan who makes his first appearance in Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword. Denroku is the child scholar of the Hayabusa Ninja Clan.
History[]
One of the children orphaned after the Dark Dragon Blade Incident, Denroku was a studious kid that peppered his sentences with the phrase naruhodo (なるほど lit. "I see/understand"?).
Plot[]
Ninja Gaiden: Dragon Sword[]
A scholar of the Ninja Arts, it isn't uncommon to find him with a book in each hand. Even the adults in the village acknowledge his intelligence, which he uses to assist Ryu. Denroku's a poor swordman, but he wants to be of help.
Etymology[]
- The name Denroku means "communication, biography, legend, intermediary, good offices, connections, life, comment" (伝) (den) and "six" (六) (roku).
Trivia[]
- In Hanamaru's Diary, he writes that he found at the back of one of the books that Denroku reads has a sketch of a purple-haired girl, probably signifying some sort of affection or crush from Denroku toward Ayane.
