Petey TheCat, better known as Petey the Cat or as his disguises P.T. Duckhat, Miss Suspiscionflame, and Dr. Katz, is one of the two deuteragonists (alongside his son Li'l Petey) of Dav Pilkey's Dog Man book series.
He is an evil anthropomorphic cat with a tragic past and is Dog Man's former arch-nemesis. He is an incredibly intelligent inventor, who creates all sorts of technology to commit crimes. However, thanks to his son Li'l Petey, he had a change of heart and became a helpful ally to the heroes.
His Good Ranking[]
What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Good?[]
In General[]
- Despite being a villain of the first 4 books and in Super Diaper Baby 2, and trying to destroy Dog Man and his friends and trying to make Li’l Petey evil, most of his crimes were mere theft and kill-the hero villainy, with all of his other villainy (such as destroying the city with Supa-Mecha Philly) is mostly Fridge Horror as it’s not confirmed that anyone died in his attack. He is also played for laughs too much to be a truly serious threat. Not to mention he has given up his villainous ways later in the series and was more incompetent than anything else.
Past[]
- He joined the Critter Scouts group in an attempt to have fun doing good for others.
- He volunteered to lead the Critter Scouts "to freedom" when they were "trapped on a desert island".
- He still had hope for his father after he had betrayed Petey and his mother.
- He and his mother accepted Little Jim.

- While it was for his own selfishness, he did temporarily defeat Rip Van Tinkle.

What Prevents Him From Being Pure Good?[]

Trivia[]
- His video game counterpart from Dog Man: Mission Impawsible doesn't count as NPG, as he fails the video game admirable standard since he is only a NPC that grants the player full health.
