“ | He's not here. There's families in here, kids, my little sister...that stuff does happen, we can stop this. Kill me. If you have to kill someone, if there has to be a punishment, kill me. I'm serious. [...] No I don't. But I will. It's gonna happen. And if me dying could stop this, if it can make things different for us, for you, for all those other kids, it could be worth it. I mean, was this the plan? Was this supposed to be this way? Is this who you wanted to be? | „ |

Carl Grimes is a major character in AMC's The Walking Dead franchise, serving as former deuteragonist of the main series. He was the son of protagonist Rick Grimes and his first wife Lori Grimes.
Over the course of the series' first 8 seasons, he evolved from a somewhat naive child into a hardened survivor, shaped by the harsh realities of the post-apocalyptic world. He experienced significant character development, grappling with moral dilemmas, loss, and the challenges of maintaining his humanity amidst the chaos and violence around him.
He was portrayed by Chandler Riggs.

What Prevents Him From Being Pure Good?[]
- He’s minor lethal, having a few kills that weren’t in self-defense:
- He killed Jody after Jody surrendered and was laying down his weapon. However, Carl claims it was purely on instinct and that he regrets doing it.
- He snuck into the Sanctuary and gunned-down 2 unnamed Saviors.
Trivia[]
- Compared to his original counterpart, TV Carl is more heroic due to being less lethal overall, in addition to shedding his wrath (which the former never did, despite outliving him).
- This means both he and his father's TV and comic counterparts are opposite of each other: Comic Rick is Near Pure Good, TV Rick is Inconsistently Admirable. Comic Carl is Inconsistently Admirable, TV Carl is Near Pure Good.
