Eddie Moss is the central antagonist of Culture of The Past. He is a politician in Inkopolis who attempts to be mayor of Inkopolis, however it is later revealed he is an underling working for Estefa Dora, who is vengeful at Agent 8 and the Splatoon for the death of his sister Sabrina, who was killed in the Splat Lands incident.

What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Evil?[]

• While he lost his sister from Splatlands, he sues that as a petty excuse to hurt all Octolings and be xenophobic.
• Is extremely xenophobic towards Octolings, including Michelle. While he does care for Lyra, he is extremely manipulative towards her, and he is also a hypocrite, being angry at others for being racist around her,
• While he was running as mayor, he wished to ban Turf Wars in Inkopolis, restrict Octolings immigrations in Octo Valley, and stop funding low paying jobs, which is what Misa works in. He wished to do this out of spite for The Splatoon.
• Had The Lovers pressure and threaten other civilians into voting for him.
• Ordered The Lovers to murder the other candidates running, resulting in two of the presidential candidates deaths.
• He willingly assisted Estefa Dora and Lewis Coltrane in their goals, not caring if people get hurt or killed.
• When Michelle assaulted him, called her a Pit-Dweller and had The Lovers personally removed her away from him after he spat in her face
• Had Kara raise suspicions about Sebastian and Cynthia, while also subtly insulting her about what happened in Splat Lands.
• Killed two officers along with Lyra by slitting their throats to assume their identity.
• Despite Gabbie’s protests, released a flash flood in an attempt to kill The Splatoon and Misa’s friends, resulting in four Octolings Soldiers deaths.
• Helped the hostile takeover of the Off The Hook! building and held up the audience members for Estefa to make his speech to the cities.
• Attempted to murder Pearl when she was cured of Lewis’ poison.
• When Marian got snapped out of her mind control and called Eddie out for his hypocrisy, Eddie beaten her half to death in the face with his gun, resulting in Marina being blind in one eye and mute.
• Made an organized attack on Octo Valley against Lyra’s wishes, setting fires to homes and shooting at civilians at random to try killing any of them, resulting in dozens of their deaths.
• Attempted to make one last stand and try and kill Michelle.
• When Lyra revealed making a deal with the Splatoon in Eddie’s hospital, Eddie insults her out of anger and says she can go to hell.

What Prevents Him from Being Pure Evil?[]

• Genuinely loved his sister Sabrina, being completely devastated at her death, hating the Splatoon because of her death and attacks Lewis for insulting her.
• He shows, despite everything, genuinely cares for Lyra and sees her like a sister, showing to not be tolerant of people insulting her and when Lyra finally calls him out and insults him in the final chapter, looks upset and cries a little.
