Natsuo Todoroki to Enji Todoroki in "The Todoroki Family"

Natsuo Todoroki (轟 (とどろき) 夏 (なつ) 雄 (お) , Todoroki Natsuo^?) is a college student, the older brother of Shoto, the younger brother of Toya and Fuyumi, and the second son of Enji and Rei Todoroki.^[2]

Appearance

Natsuo is a young man of above average height with a rather well-built figure. He sports white spiky hair with two short strands hanging down the middle of his forehead. He also has gray eyes with fairly long eyelashes.

In his younger years, both sides of Natsuo's hair had two streaks of crimson red. It is unknown why these same details are absent on his current appearance, although it's possible that he could have dyed them or they became white like Toya's hair did.

During the Final War, Natsuo receives burn marks and scars right after exposing himself to the battle between Dabi and Endeavor. In the aftermath of the war, Natsuo's hair has been cut short with miniature burn scars remaining on his face.

Personality

Natsuo has an easy-going attitude for the most part. He has shown to care deeply for his family and exhibits a more serious side when dealing with sensitive issues involving their past.

Natsuo is shown to resent his father for his abusive actions; holding him accountable for the forced separation from Shoto as a child, neglecting him and his older siblings after deeming them as failures, Rei's hospitalization, and what happened to Toya, to whom Natsuo was close with.^[2][3] Despite his father attempting to become a better man and father to his children, Natsuo found it hard to converse with Enji and be in the same room as him without getting angry. While he agreed to attend Fuyumi's dinner arrangements, he only did this for his sister's sake and eventually stormed off, being unable to stand his father's presence.

While Natsuo is clearly troubled by his family's issues, he knows that he doesn't have the heart to forgive his father with the past weighing too heavily on him. Although he was horrified upon watching Endeavor being injured during the latter's fight with Hood, and was not above acknowledging his father saving him from a dangerous villain, Natsuo voiced on how he just couldn't forgive him, saying that he isn't as kind as Shoto and the rest of his family to do so.^[4] He was also horrified to learn that his older brother, Toya, was alive and had become a villain and mass murderer. After a talk with his family, Natsuo agreed that he would side with his father, but only until Dabi was stopped.^[5]

Natsuo has shown to be quite brave, as during the Final War, he chose to join his mother alongside Fuyumi to help with confronting Dabi who was releasing a deadly inferno and was on the verge of self-destructing. Natsuo used his ice Quirk to help contain Dabi's explosion while yelling at his older brother to stop causing trouble.^[6]

Following the Final War, Natsuo keeps his word and tells Enji that he wants nothing more to do with him as he plans to move away with his girlfriend to start a family. Despite still not forgiving his father, Natsuo seems to have moved past his previous hatred for him, saying that enough punishment has been given and openly respecting Enji's decision to continue making amends for his actions, however awful it may be, in order to protect his family. Furthermore, he at least gives his father final parting words, unlike with his older brother Toya, with Natsuo being the sole Todoroki to say nothing to him, implying resentment towards his older brother for his actions.^[7]

Abilities

Overall Abilities: Natsuo is an inexperienced young man who doesn't have any particular combat experience or fighting-style techniques unlike his brothers, Dabi and Shoto, or his father, Endeavor. However, he has enough proficient control of his Quirk as he was able to coat himself in it to reach to reach Rei, Endeavor and Dabi in the midst of the latter's blazing inferno.^[6] Along with Rei and Fuyumi, Natsuo was able to temporarily route Dabi's explosion using his ice, allowing Shoto to extinguish it completely with his Phosphor-empowered Great Glacial Aegir. Shoto confessed afterwards that without his mother and siblings' help, he wouldn't have been able to stop Dabi by himself.^[8]

Medical Welfare Knowledge: Natsuo is a college student studying for a degree in medical welfare.^[1] This suggests that he has acquired at least some knowledge of the subject.

Quirk

Frost: Natsuo possesses a Quirk that is similar to his mother's Frost Quirk, able to coat himself in ice as well as shoot it out.^[6]
