The Rooster Miraculous is a thumb ring[1][2] that, whenever Orikko inhabits it, transforms the wearer into a rooster-themed superhero with the power of Pretension.
To activate the thumb ring, the user must speak the transformation phrase, which is currently unknown. To deactivate the thumb ring, the user must speak the detransformation phrase, which is currently unknown.
In "Destruction", Gabriel used a laser machine to melt down the Miraculous into a pile of dust, and then reforged it into a special Alliance ring for transferring Orikko's power of Pretension to any Akumatized villain who wore a regular Alliance ring.
In "Re-creation", after Marinette Dupain-Cheng manages to recover all of the Miraculouses that were previously stolen, she restores the Rooster Miraculous back to its original form and she gives it back to Marc permanently.
In general, the Rooster Miraculous is composed of two rings that are connected by a chain. In its charged mode, when Orikko inhabits it, each ring is golden, covering the entire thumb with the ring on top having a point that resembles a rooster's spur or talon. The Miraculous gains five orange segments, two on the upper ring and three on the lower ring. If a minor is using the Miraculous, the thumb ring starts running out of power, indicated by the segments making a beeping sound, and start discoloring one at a time as an indication of how much time (one segment is equivalent to one minute) Marc (or another Rooster Miraculous holder) has left.
In its activated mode, the five segments are black.
In its camouflage mode, the thumb ring changes color and form depending on whose possession it's in:
The Miraculous' camouflaged form when worn by Gabriel.
The Miraculous' camouflaged form when worn by Marinette.
The Miraculous' camouflaged form when worn by Chloé.

In the possession of Marc Anciel, the tip is gone and it is silvery gray with two links connected by a chain.[3]
When it was worn by Chloé Bourgeois, it was golden and composed of four rings, two per phalanx, with a honeycomb pattern connecting the rings to the chain.[5]
When it was worn by Marinette Dupain-Cheng, it was grayish with two hearts connecting the links to the chain.[6]
In it's reforged ring form, it was a thick band with a circular surface, similar to the Cat Miraculous, inside of it was the symbol of the Rooster Miraculous which glowed maize. It used to sit on the intermediate phalange of Gabriel's right ring finger.
Abilities
The Rooster Miraculous has the ability to transform its wielder into a rooster-themed superhero, granting its wielder incredible powers of speed, endurance, agility, stamina and strength.
Its special weapon is an unbreakable fountain pen, which can be utilized as both a weapon, a communicator, and an object that can be used to breathe underwater. Its special superpower is called Sublimation, which allows the user to gain any ability they desire in order to obtain their goal, like defeating a villain. As long as the superpower isn't used, the wielder can remain transformed indefinitely. However, as soon as the superpower is used by a minor, the wielder loses power and the transformation wears off in approximately five minutes. The thumb ring also has the ability to give the wielder the costume they truly desire.

History
The Rooster Miraculous was created thousands of years ago by an Unnamed mage.
Roosters symbolize pride, honesty, watchfulness, and flamboyance.
The Gallic rooster is the unofficial national symbol of France as a nation. Its association with France dates back to the Middle Ages due to the coincidental homonyms of the Latin words Gallus (inhabitants of Gaul) and gallus ("rooster"). The French onomatopoeia for its crowing, "cocorico" (equivalent to the English "cock-a-doodle-do") is sometimes used as an expression of national pride.
In the animatic of the theme song, a Miraculous with a rooster-like appearance appears on the top level of the Miracle Box.
This is the third Miraculous to be based off of a ring following the Cat and Ox Miraculouses.
The form of the Rooster Miraculous is a reference to the spurs that roosters are known to have and are their fiercest weapons in the defense of their hens or to fight with other roosters.
