Plot[]
The episode starts with Zoé and her stepfather, Mayor Bourgeois on the top of the hotel looking at his 'dream depository'. They are looking at some of the movie related items. Mayor Bourgeois shows Zoé a movie script he wrote and reveals he changed his name for his wife. Audrey Bourgeois calls out for the mayor, asking for a foot massage and tells Zoé never to give up on her dreams as he rushes to his wife. Zoé is staring at a framed picture of the person she is in love with.
In the library at school, Mr. Damoclès reminds some of the students that it is almost the end of the school year which means it is almost time for the dance for the end of the year. Zoé and Marinette are elected as representatives to organize the dance.
In Marinette's room, as Zoé walks into her room, Marinette introduces her to it and shows her around and sees one of Marinette's sketches. Marinette accidentally shows Zoé photos of Adrien and other pictures related to his modelling career. She shows Zoé the exterior of her bedroom and uses a pair binoculars and looks around in them. She then decides the dance should take place at the Eiffel Tower. Marinette suggests that Zoé could ask her father if the Eiffel could be used for the end-of-year dance. They go together to the hotel to ask him.
They arrive at the hotel and Zoé reassures Marinette she has learned to tolerate with Chloé's bad behavior. Zoé greets and talks to some of the staff there. Chloé and Sabrina notice them and tell them Marinette is not welcome. Suddenly, Armand distracts Chloé by using Mr. Cuddly. She calls for her father to check the cameras and see if Marinette has stepped foot on the carpet. Mayor Bourgeois arrives and uses the computer updating as an excuse for the cameras not working. Suddenly, Audrey walks in and when Chloé complains about her half-sister, she does not show any care about her issue and gets her confused with Zoé. Marinette is impressed with how Zoé stood up to Chloé and thanks Marinette for helping her change. Zoé asks her father if there is a way for the party for the end of the year to be held at the Eiffel Tower as Chloé and Sabrina eavesdrop, the mayor authorizes the plan.
Meanwhile, at the Agreste mansion, Gabriel has made raclette, saying he has decided to make Adrien's wishes come true as Adrien thanks him. When Adrien asks his father for permission to go to the dance with Marinette, Nathalie steps in and reminds Gabriel he has decided to make his son's dreams come true. He allows it as Adrien thanks him once again.
Meanwhile, at the hotel, Lila is putting on makeup as Gabriel video calls her, reminding her that she is to protect Adrien from Marinette. Lila reassures him and tells him a plan is formed to resolve the issue permanently as the call ends. She walks in to where Sabrina and Chloé are. Lila tells her that Zoé is not the problem but instead Marinette as she is being a bad influence for Zoé. Lila tells Chloé she has a plan to get rid of Marinette for good but in order for the plan to work, Chloé and Sabrina must be in it.
As Zoé and Marinette enter Zoé's room, Marinette is excited about the dance at the Eiffel Tower. She spots the framed photograph of the person she is in love with and quickly hides it. Sabrina becomes worried and refuses as the plan is going against anything what she stands for as she is demoted to underling. Sabrina becomes miserable as Chloé shows Sabrina her whistle and throws it and runs off into tears. Lila tells Chloé all they have to do now is wait as Sabrina puts on her whistle and cries.
Meanwhile in his lair, Monarch senses Sabrina's strong emotion of sadness and creates a megakuma. He absorbs Kaalki into his ring and teleports the megakuma to Sabrina. The megakuma infects the whistle and transfers the power of the Miraculous of the Dog as Miss Hound's Fetch, to her Alliance ring. Sabrina gets akumatized into Vanisher as Lila tells Chloé, Vanisher is a good underling. Vanisher touches Chloé's phone with her whistle and blows it, making the phone in her hands.
In Zoé's room, Marinette shows her her sketch for a dress. Marinette tells Zoé that telling Adrien how she feels is difficult as Zoé tells her she can relate to that situation. Vanisher enters the room without them noticing. Marinette calls Alya about the plans and is impressed and tells her about Zoé's crush. Marinette panics when she sees Zoé talking to the holographic Adrien on her Alliance ring and thinks Zoé may be in love with Adrien and they meet about as they drive away on Marinette's scooter to the florist as Vanisher follows them from behind.
Vanisher touches the flowers, a spray can, napkins, baker peels, a tablecloth, cymbals, a guitar with her whistle. Zoé and Marinette are at the Eiffel Tower, waiting for the rest of the students to show up. Vanisher and Chloé are secretly hidden there and Vanisher blows her whistle, making everything she has touched with her whistle come to her and puts the items in Marinette's bag as Tikki watches. Chloé appears from behind and accuses Marinette of taking her phone. She opens Marinette's bag as the items Vanisher has touched with her whistle fall out and everyone watches as Tikki flies away. Chloé pretends as though Marinette stole the items for the party to make her dress and shows them a sketch of the book. The flowers fly in the wind as Marinette sees some of the flowers on Vanisher's invisible body. Mr Damoclès expels her from school as her parents cry. Zoé takes the blame instead, not wanting Marinette to suffer.
Marinette sneaks away and Tikki tells Marinette what she saw and knows Vanisher was behind all of this. Marinette transforms into Ladybug. Ladybug informs Cat Noir of the situation and uses her Lucky Charm and receives a pinata. She tells the people who saw what just happened it was the work of Vanisher and tries to hit her with her yo-yo but Vanisher dodges. Everyone runs away as Adrien runs in a different direction and transforms into Cat Noir. Ladybug and Vanisher continue to fight each other as Cat Noir arrives and Ladybug's Lucky Vision tells her how to defeat Vanisher.
Ladybug breaks apart the pinata and Cat Noir sprays her, giving Ladybug and Cat Noir an idea of where Vanisher is. She blows her whistle and makes the guitar appear and Ladybug knows where the megakuma went. She grabs the whistle and throws it to Cat Noir who uses his cataclysm on it. The megakuma is purified by Ladybug uses her Lucky Charm to repair the damage and return everything to where it is supposed to be as Vanisher is deakumatized back into Sabrina. Chloé scolds her as Ladybug gives her her magical charm. Ladybug tells the crowd of people that Marinette was framed thanks to Chloé and Vanisher. Everyone is staring at Chloé, looking angry as her father looks disappointed, she walks away furious. Ladybug and Cat Noir fly off to detransform. Mayor Bourgeois looks at Zoé, admiring her bravery to stand up for Marinette and for taking the blame.
Marinette thanks Zoé for her actions and encourages her to tell her crush her feelings. Marinette is shocked to find out that Zoé is in love with her and encourages Marinette to do the same. They hug one last time as Marinette runs to Adrien who is at the mansion's gate and tells him she loves him as they hold hands and are about to kiss. A picture of Gabriel comes into Adrien's mind, disallowing him. Adrien feels strange and advises Marinette to go home as he apologizes and walks back to the mansion. Gabriel is watching everything from window and sees Marinette walking home and walks into the darkness. Lying in her bed, Marinette is praised by Tikki for telling Adrien how she feels happy and brave as the episode ends.

Trivia[]
- Internationally, this episode first premiered in Brazil on Globoplay.
- The episode shares its name with the concept of the Dog Miraculous.
- Besides the use of the superpower Fetch, we see people showing their adoration for others.
- Some people are shown expressing their adoration in a selfless way.
- Like in "Collusion", when Mayor Bourgeois mentioned how much citizens of Paris adored Ladybug and Cat Noir.
- Zoé expresses her adoration for Marinette by supporting the latter's crush over Adrien (despite her own feelings for her) and taking the blame for all the accusations Chloé places on Marinette for stealing.
- Marinette was willing to risk Adrien's love for her by letting Zoé declare her supposed love for him out of adoration for their friendship.
- Some people are shown expressing their adoration in an obsessive way.
- André Bourgeois shows his obsessive adoration for Audrey by doing everything she wants. That also included changing his own name.
- Sabrina expresses her obsessive blind adoration for Chloé by doing whatever she demands, even if that goes to what she believes it's wrong, like stealing.
- Plagg's adoration for cheese causing trouble in "Rogercop" and "Kwamibuster".
- Some people are shown expressing their adoration in a dreamy/openly way.
- Cat Noir kept expressing his constant adoration for Ladybug.
- Marinette kept expressing her adoration for Adrien when she is with Zoé.
- Zoé is able to express her own feelings of adoration for Marinette to the latter.
- Due to his former modelling, Adrien was adored by many fans.
- Some people are shown expressing their adoration in a selfless way.
- More about the superpower of the Dog Miraculous is revealed.
- It's revealed that, in its full capability (like when used by an adult), Fetch can be used to mark multiple objects at the same time and then the user can summon them as they please, being it summoning them one by one or multiple objects at the same time.
- The Dog Miraculous represents a person's loyalty, how they change or diminish over time, nor be abused, let alone take advantage of it, how it can be blinding.
- Sabrina Raincomprix as the current Dog Miraculous holder, Miss Hound, she was extremely loyal to Chloé, with notable examples being in "The Evillustrator", "Miraculer", "Penalteam" and this episode, until her cruelty became too much and gave it to someone else who was more deserving of it such as Marinette and Ladybug.
- Such as Alya and Cat Noir's deep loyalty to Marinette and Ladybug, Nathalie's to Gabriel and Sabrina's to Chloé.
- How Chloé's obsession over Ladybug diminished starting with "Miraculer" and finally concluded in "The Battle of the Miraculous", when Ladybug constantly avoided giving her back the Bee Miraculous in spite of Chloé being warned the dangers of her using it again.
- In "Evolution", where Nathalie's loyalty towards Gabriel diminished because he chose his obsession over saving her and Émilie.
- Sabrina's loyalty towards Chloe diminished starting from "Perfection" and "Confrontation".
- In "Reunion", Scarlet Fate's and Dark Grimalkin's loyalties to their kings diminished when the kings were consumed by greed.
- How Ladybug's and Cat Noir's loyalty to each other was displayed throughout season 4. But unlike Gabriel and Nathalie, Ladybug's trust and loyalty towards Cat Noir didn't weaken out of malice but protective fear for him a fear that Gabriel was responsible for putting there.
- How Gabriel abused the people's loyalty to Ladybug and Cat Noir in "The Final Day".
- How Nathalie's blind loyalty to Gabriel made her ignore the consequences and the guilt, such as in "Mayura", "Reflekdoll", "Feast", "Ladybug" and "The Battle of the Miraculous".
- This episode and people also have strong correlations that are connected to the meaning of the Dog:
- Despite being given the Cat Miraculous, Adrien has shown (traits associated to dogs) is being faithful and loves being with his friends as dogs are pack-dweller animals.
- And yet, Adrien, Felix and Sabrina were treated similar to dogs by those who were suppose to work with them, be their friends and love them too.
- Like Sabrina and Adrien, they both started out as friends with Chloe and Marinette/Ladybug but along the way their friendship began to diminish for one reason or another her and Chloé had their friendship cease because Chloé was consumed by revenge and thirst for power as well as didn't bother to reconcile.
- Ladybug and Cat Noir, theirs diminished because of the protective fear she had for everyone but unlike Chloé, Ladybug admitted she was wrong and put in the work to restoring their bond.
- Unlike Chloe and Colt, Ladybug saw it was no use too by consumed by anger and hate let alone take out on someone else especially if they didn't deserve any of it nor if it's not going to help solve the problem.
- Gabriel and the kwamis as unlike Team Miraculous who treated them as more like friends, Gabriel didn't care about them except for their powers.
- Also with his villains he hunted the heroes down relentlessly.
- Besides the use of the superpower Fetch, we see people showing their adoration for others.
- According to Principal Damoclès, as of this episode, there are left two weeks for the last day of school before summer break. Having in consideration that the last day of school falls on Bastille Day (a French holiday that happens on July 14th), which happens on "Revolution", the events on this episode happens at the very end of June, possibly the 30th.
- Sabrina is the third character who received the power of her own Miraculous through her alliance ring in an akumatized form, following Kagami in "Perfection" and Kim in "Derision".
- It's revealed that Marinette's chaise lounge was built by herself using salvaged parts.
- This is the fourth overall time Sabrina gets akumatized following "Antibug", "Catalyst" and "Miraculer".
- This is the third time she was akumatized into Vanisher, and the first time Vanisher is the main villain of an episode.
- It's revealed that Zoé has a crush on Marinette, possibly coming from their first encounter back in "Sole Crusher", as the latter was the first person in Paris to show any kindness to her. However, because Marinette is in love with Adrien, Zoé, up until this episode, never dared to confess her feelings for her. At the end of the episode, she finally lets Marinette learn about her feelings.
- This confirms that Zoé is sapphic, marking the fourth appearance of an LGBTQ+ romance in the show, after Nathaniel and Marc, Juleka and Rose, and Barbara Keynes and Olympia Hill.
- This also makes Zoé the tenth LGBTQ+ character overall.
- It's revealed that Butler Jean's name is Armand and the unnamed maid's name is Sophie.
- It's revealed that mayor Bourgeois's first name, André, is not his actual name, but rather one that he took when marrying Audrey.
- He was originally called Anaximandre, which also ends in "-andre".
- It's shown that, while Marinette and her class are on ninth grade, Zoé and her class are on eighth grade, meaning that Zoé, Marc, Aurore Beauréal and Mireille Caquet are possibly a year younger than the students in Marinette's class, including herself.
- That also confirms that Zoé is younger than Chloé.
- Zoé is revealed to have formed a good relationship with the staff of the hotel, knowing their names and treating them with respect, something that they return by covering for her whenever they can from Chloé, together with mayor Bourgeois.
- Lila continues to use her "friendship" with Chloé to better ruin Marinette's life and keep her away from Adrien. This time, she serves of Chloé to make Sabrina be akumatized so they can blame Marinette of stealing things to make her dress.
- This is the second time Lila frames Marinette for stealing following "Ladybug".
- And this is the third time overall where Marinette was accused of stealing something following "Rogercop" and "Ladybug".
- Like the same episode, the person who is being accused is innocent (both Marinette and Zoé).
- This is the second time Marinette almost gets expelled from school.
- This episode shares resemblances to "Malediktator" and "Gang of Secrets":
- Both Chloé and Marinette pushed those that were close to them away or ended their friendship for one reason another.
- In "Gang of Secrets", Marinette pushed her friends away out of stress and desire to protect while Chloe, similar to "Malediktator," did it out of selfishness and not being able to get what she wanted.
- Because of their actions, it led to the akumatizations of both villains.
- Unlike Chloe in the titular episode but in "Malediktator" and Marinette in "Gang of Secrets", both felt remorse for causing their loved ones akumatizations.
- All the villains wanted something pure and simple back but they went the wrong way about it.
- Both Chloé and Marinette pushed those that were close to them away or ended their friendship for one reason another.
- Chloé trying to expel Marinette during the end of the school year is similar to her getting Socqueline suspended for the last 2 weeks of school in "Derision".
- Unlike Socqueline, both Marinette and Zoé managed to avoid being kicked out of school for the remainder of the school year.
- This is the ninth time where a Lucky Charm object breaks (excluding the broken plate in "Troublemaker") followed by "Robostus", "Weredad", "Miraculer", "Psycomedian", "Hack-San", "Miraculous Paris", "Derision" and "Protection".
- This is the fourth time where Ladybug breaks the Lucky Charm object herself, following "Miraculer", "Psycomedian" and "Derision".
- This is the last episode where Chloé tries/attempts to send/exile Zoé back to New York, but in "Revolution", she was forced to leave Paris with her mother.
- This is the eighteenth time where Adrien is a minor character in the permanent timeline following "Intuition", "Destruction", "Penalteam", "Ephemeral", "Dearest Family", "Qilin", "Sentibubbler", "Optigami", "Crocoduel", "Guiltrip", "Sole Crusher", "Furious Fu", "Mr. Pigeon 72", "Gang of Secrets", "Truth", "Cat Blanc" and "Style Queen".
- If the webisodes were counted, this would be the forty-first
.
Errors[]
- Despite the fact that André was named "Anaximandre" during his cinema career, the movie script he shows has both "Anaximandre" and "André Bourgeois" at the same time.
- When Marinette takes Zoé to her room after they were selected to organize the end-of-the-year party, the former says the latter had never been there, which is untrue, as Zoé is seen in Marinette's room in "Gabriel Agreste".
- However, having in consideration Zoé was not originally at Marinette's room at the beginning of their plan, but at the Le Grand Paris (as her role in the plan was to keep Armand away from the party), it's possible that Zoé's presence at Marinette's room in "Gabriel Agreste" is a mistake of that episode.
- When Chloé throws Sabrina's whistle, it becomes black for a second.
- When Lila and Chloé set up Sabrina for akumatization, Sabrina's Alliance ring is black.
- When Monarch akumatizes Sabrina, his voice isn't deep like it usually is, instead being like Gabriel's civilian voice.
- In the Brazilian Portuguese dub, Zoé refers to the florist as a "he", but a feminine-looking florist is seen later. This could be explained by the florist identifying as a male, although there is no other evidence of this.
- When Monarch touches Barkk's cage to transfer her power to Vanisher, he touches it with his right hand despite the Dog Miraculous ring being on his left hand.
- The central part of Mr. Damoclès' beard moves unnaturally back and forth during the scene at the library.
- While Lila counts down before Vanisher first shows up, her chin is noticeably bigger and her face is deformed.
- Vanisher casts a shadow even though she is invisible.
