The Bartunu system was formerly held by the Orion Colonies, but in reference stardate 1/8104 (c. 2240) the inhabitants petitioned the United Federation of Planets for membership. In an effort to prevent the secession, the Botchok Planetary Congress, The Star Group corporation and their consortium of businesses, and the Faktim, Hjulah, Prochem and U'taliis families worked together to sabotage the effort. These efforts were unsuccessful.
Economics[]
