Tomoko Noge is a character from Persona 5: The Phantom X.

Appearances[]

Design[]

Tomoko is a teenage girl with black hair worn in pigtails with pink hair ties. She has gray eyes and black rectangular glasses. She wears a pink cardigan over her school uniform.

As Moko, she wears a pink and dark violet puffy-sleeved outfit with faulds and tassets, steel-toe thigh-high boots, a twin-tailed cape, a bycocket with a feather in the cap, and a dark magenta mask with silver and gold accents.

Profile[]

Persona 5: The Phantom X[]

Tomoko is a second-year student at Kokatsu Academy and Motoha Arai's best friend.[1] She first meets the protagonist when he picks up her pass holder from the train and later asks Motoha to talk to the protagonist for her, though denies having a crush on him.

While preparing to try out for the starting line-up on the school's baseball team, Tomoko is pushed onto the train tracks one morning by Takeyuki Kiuchi and has her shoulder injured, saving Motoha from the attack. She gets sent to the hospital soon after, making her unable to participate in the line-up and even difficult to continue playing baseball. After the protagonist, Ruferu, and Motoha manage to take his treasure and change his heart in his palace, she returns to school.

Now Tomoko has switched her focus onto gaining experiences from different kinds of part-time jobs. She sometimes asks the protagonist to accompany her to have interviews and take shifts together.

Trivia[]

  • Tomoko's role in the story is highly reminiscent of Shiho Suzui: being the close friend of a girl targeted by the first palace ruler, whose victimization as collateral damage in her stead motivates the Phantom Thieves to fully commit to a Change of Heart.
  • Just like Eri Natsuhara from Persona 5 Tactica, Tomoko was crippled after being pushed onto a train track, although she was only unable to continue playing baseball while Eri ended up with significantly worse injuries.
  • Tomoko’s codename was initially Kotomo but was changed in Beta 3 to Moko, making her alongside Kiyoshi, Reo, and Seiji the only thieves to have their codenames changed since they were released.
