The Wily Machine 9 from Mega Man 9 is a dinosaur-like mecha with a horned skull.

Wily Machine 9[]
In the first phase, the Wily Machine hovers around back and forth while shooting green exploding eggs with yellow polka dots. They must be deflected back at the machine and explode on contact with its jaw. Nothing else can damage this form. The Magma Bazooka is an effective choice in deflecting the eggs due to their directional capacity. This is the only animal-themed Wily Machine.
In the second phase, the Wily Machine attacks by crushing, ramming and shooting stream of fire in sinusoidal pattern. It is weak to Concrete Shot.
Wily Capsule[]
This Wily Capsule behaves the same as its previous incarnations; appear and disappear, and shoot projectiles in almost all directions. An advantage Mega Man has in this fight is the ability to nullify projectiles with the Black Hole Bomb or Tornado Blow. During one of its attacks, it's possible to avoid it by standing in between the projectiles that Dr. Wily fires. Its primary weakness is the Plug Ball, however Hornet Chaser (although dealing little damage) can hit Wily at any point he appears.
Trivia[]
- This version of the machine appears to be an homage to the 1976 and 2005 anime Gaiking, being similar to the Daikū Maryū in both appearance and color scheme.
- While this Wily Machine did not appear in the comic books, parts of its design served as a base for the Egg-Wily Machine X.
