Hornet Man Stage (ホーネットマンステージ) is a stage taking place in a garden in Mega Man 9 that has Hornet Man, its boss, residing inside.
Description[]
Hornet Man Stage takes place in a heavily spiked garden consisting of many enemies that fit a garden theme, and this stage uses 2 main gimmicks within it, that being the Bokazurah sections and its corresponding blocks, as well as the "Rolling Platforms". Mega Man will start fighting Caricarries and Flower Presenters among other enemies before being introduced to the Rolling Platforms, though they'll only be used once for a while. Once Mega Man reaches the other gimmick, the Bokazurahs, he'll go through a couple rooms with them and eventually drop down to the sub-boss of this stage, Hanabiran. In this fight, Mega Man will dodge a large flower bar going around the room while hopping on platforms above spikes, though Hanabiran will appear from one of the platforms and fire 4 petals (less if Mega Man fires and hits it) before vanishing and popping out another platform. Mega Man will then be reintroduced to the Rolling Platforms and will go through long sections of them over another field of spikes while dodging Scissascissors before dropping down to fight more Flower Presenters and a Big Stomper and reaching the boss door.
- On Hero Mode, there are many more Flower Presenters guarding the stage, as well as changed block patterns in the Bokazurah sections.
- On Superhero Mode, most of the Flower Presenters, especially in the first half, are switched out with Bombomboys, and the Bokazurah sections are yet again changed to be more challenging. The Big Stomper at the end of the stage is also removed.
