Road Attackers should not be confused with Road Riders from Mega Man X2

The Road Attackers (ロードアタッカーズ Rōdo Atakkāzu) are a Reploid bōsōzoku[1] that appear as enemies near the end of the Opening Stage in Mega Man X. They're deployed from the Death Rogumer, the same airship that Vile emerges from in the end of the stage.

The Road Attackers drive modified red cars equipped with a large cannon in the hood and pursuit X, attacking by firing the cannon and trying to run over him. They have four stages depending on how much damage it receives: Normal (12-8 HP), destroyed driver (7-4 HP. The vehicle will continue moving ahead, and X can stand on the car), stop moving (3-1 HP), then break. In the remake Mega Man Maverick Hunter X, the car automatically breaks a short time after it stops moving.

Trivia[]

  • In Mega Man X7, Zero provokes Ride Boarski by asking him if he was a member of the Road Attackers or Road Riders, and he feels offended for being compared with them, calling the former punks.
    • In his TEPPEN appearance, Ride Boarski appears to be their leader.
