Synopsis for "Absolute Power (Part 2)"
In the past, Scott Summers gets into a fight with a bully at school, causing him to wet himself after falling onto the floor. Returning to his foster home, Scott, while shouting at his foster father to leave him alone, unintentionally activates his optic blasts, accidentally killing his foster parents.
In the present, Scott accompanies Colossus and some of the Banshee-using X-Men to obtain more Banshee in Siberia from some unknown buyers who only meet with Colossus and only after having him blindfolded.
As this goes on, Rogue, now sporting metal skin like Peter and angel-like wings like Warren, comes up to Scott and mentions how, once he takes Banshee, he'll know why she did it and kisses him, Banshee helping her from absorbing his power.
Colossus, having obtained the 12 vials of Banshee needed for their upcoming mission, returns and hands one to Scott. Though still unsure, Scott seemingly injects himself with it.
However, as the others prepare to leave, Scott is revealed to've faked his injection and telepathically contacts Jean, who's running drug checks on Storm and the others back at the mansion.
During their conversation, Jean reveals that she's in contact with Professor X as well, who she also puts in contact with Scott, who's revealed to be undercover in Colossus' team for Jean.
Knowing it won't be secret for long, Xavier tells Scott to find and shut down whoever's producing Banshee, only for Cyclops to admit that not even Colossus knows as he was blindfolded during the exchange and the seller teleported.
Xavier offers to check for any recent power signatures of teleports, prompting Jean to say they'll need to do better than that as Scott states he's making sure their friends don't hurt themselves or anyone else.
At that moment, however, one X-Man's name comes up positive for Banshee, one that renders Jean completely shocked and speechless as Scott asks her who it is.
In the Danger Room, a thoroughly outraged Wolverine is shown slicing up the training robots, as he's revealed to be the one to've tested positive as an astonished Jean has just broken the news to him.
Though he willingly offers more of his blood for a retest by cutting his arm with his claws, Jean admits she'd done test after test to make sure the first results were correct, and the re-tests had come back positive each and every time.
Wolverine insists that, despite doing a lot of alarming and horrible things in his life, drugs is absolutely not one of them. Though she assures him she believes him, Jean points out that there are still numerous holes in his past.
Though he expects to be sent packing, Logan is told by Jean she's willing to let him stay and help find out and stop the person behind Banshee, with Logan vowing to make them scream as he brandishes his claws.
In Alpha Flight's base, the team is relaxing while Jubilee is shown uneasy over everything, especially due to the captive Northstar's screams making her very creeped out.
Vindicator insists they're doing the right thing and that they're saving the world. During the argument, Shaman suddenly tells the group that something's coming as he smells brimstone.
A second later, Kurt teleports the Banshee-powered X-Men into the base (taking out a whole wall in the process) as Colossus demands Northstar while Angel becomes a humanoid eagle, and Dazzler creates a solid-light form in the shape of a bear.
As the battle starts, Colossus takes out Shaman while Dazzler fights Aurora via her solid-light bear and Angel takes on Snowbird when the latter tries to come to Aurora's aid, taking her into the stratosphere.
Kurt, meanwhile, battles Sasquatch, accidentally teleporting one of her arms clean off as he tries to teleport her away, to his horror, only for Vindicator to take him out.
Rogue then grabs his face and absorbs his memories, only to discover his identity, to her shock and disbelief, giving Vindicator the chance to recover and start hitting her full blast.
As Scott tries to help Rogue, Colossus manages to intimidate Sunfire into revealing Jean-Paul's location in the base during their fight. Despite Scott's desperate pleas (and willing admission to faking his 1st Banshee injection), Colossus goes to help Northstar.
Seeing that Rogue, Angel and Dazzler are all being beaten closer and closer to death by Vindicator, Shaman and Aurora, Scott reluctantly takes his sample of the Banshee shipment and injects himself for real.
After having a flashback to the day when he met Xavier and Jean for the first time, Scott's visor shatters, but his optic blasts don't shoot out, to his shock and delight as he then uses his new flight ability to save Angel and Rogue.
As this goes on, Piotr finds Northstar where Sunfire had claimed as Scott continues wailing on Vindicator. Meanwhile, it's clear that Jean-Paul is in very bad shape as he's pale, has a ghost-like face and is hooked up to wires and strapped to a table.
As he frees his boyfriend, Colossus discovers that Alpha Flight was having Jean-Paul overdose on Banshee, advancing Northstar's powers to such a state that his uncontrollable shaking causes a brief earthquake.
Realizing what's going on, Cyclops then finds the duo in the science lab, Colossus in tears as he holds Jean-Paul and simply states that Jean-Paul wouldn't stop shaking.
