After spending countless years bringing Galactus to an untold number of planets for his master to devour the Silver Surfer began to forget the places he'd been and the planet's he'd consumed. At some unknown point he brought Galactus to Earth, where the Surfer found the planet in ruins and the only survivor being the original Human Torch. The Torch knew the Surfer's purpose and attacked him, who was uncertain if he had seen the Torch before. The Surfer knocked down the Torch and offered to take him away from the dying planet, but the Torch refused to leave his home and left to take on Galactus himself.^[1]
