Commoria was a kingdom of the Pre-Cataclysmic Age,[1] Commoria was located on the continent of Thuria, bordered at his western mountains with Zarfhaana, at southwest by Kamelia, at southeast by Thurania, at east by Grondar, and at north by the Ocean.[2]

It was considered one of the Seven Empires of the Pre-Cataclysmic Age.[3][4][5][6]

It warred with Valusia[1][7] countless times.[6][8][9]

History

Origin[]

Commoria was a kingdom of Thurian civilization with a similar language and consequently likely a common origin with Kamelia, Valusia, Verulia, Grondar, and Thule.[2]

Early years[]

Little is known of its past, as known history begins with the decline of the Thurian kingdoms.[2]

Thirty years before Kull's rule, Commoria was among the many foes of Valusia. During a battle with Valusians, the Commorians slew Vonndhar, commander of the Valusian infamous Black Legion (though he was resurrected by Erlik and recruited into the god's service).[10]

Age of Kull[]

During the rule of King Kull, each Commorian harvest failed, causing them to attempt to annex Valusian farmland at Fall, and to be routed each and every time. One such battle occurred at the border, in the Forest of Tarn, where the Valusians blinded the Commorians using mirrored shields, a plan devised by Kull.[8]

In a latter attempt, the Commorians were able to surround and defeat the Valusian vanguard's camp, wounding Kull and killing half of his Black Legion. Kull awoke on a deserted battlefield.[11] and encountered a Commorian survivor who refused to hold the fight, until they were forced to team up against corpses looters. The Commorian died and was offered a funeral pyre by Kull.[12]

Later, during a hunting trip along Darus and Black Legionaries, Kull was captured by trespassing Commorians who were later slain apparent Wolf-Men.[13]

Many border wars went on later.[9] On the Fall of the tenth year of Kull's rule over Valusia, they pressed harder than ever, but their army was destroyed, at the cost of half of the Black Legion's strength.[14] After Commoria was defeated and war ended, the Valusian Senate deliberated on the nomination[15] of a satrap to govern over conquered Commoria.[16]

Visions of the future had Commoria and Valusia waging massive wars at each other, leaving both weakened beyond repair, ripe for an Atlantean invasion.[17]

Facts[]

Criminality[]

"Cormorian (see notes) pirates" stroke at Valusian galleys in the Western Ocean to get slaves to oar their own ships.[18]

Religion[]

Commorians were witnessed invoking the name of Valka.[13]

Points of Interest

The Forest of Tarn was a forest on what was considered as border between Commoria and Valusia[8] due to the latter crossing into Zarfhaana to invade Valusia.[19]
