Synopsis for "And So It Begins..."
The Vision assembles the Avengers to deal with a secret Maggia leaders' meeting hosted by the Grim Reaper. They break up the meeting and battle squads of dreadnoughts. The Grim Reaper escapes and Iron Man learns that Madame Masque is in trouble.
Solicit Synopsis
- The Vision returns as we kick off the storyline that leads to this summer's AVENGERS/THUNDERBOLTS crossover!
Notes
- Iron Man has reverted back to his classic armor due to critical problems with his Renaissance Armor taking over his body and becoming sentient. In this editor's opinion, it is logical that Stark is using the Model 4 model, which is the most advanced of his classic armor.
- The Black Widow meets with Iron Man this issue and then "disappears". The mystery of where she went, as well as some plot lines from this story, is continued in Thunderbolts #43.
- A number or regional Maggia heads are depicted this issue. In particular, Eddie Lavell is noted as being head of the "Gulf Coast" criminal operation.
- No letters page is published this issue.
