Synopsis for 1st story

New Avengers (Vol. 2) #2
A demonic force has possessed both Luke Cage and the Eye of Agamotto, making the former a giant. The New Avengers are forced to fight their recently-appointed team leader and keep him away from the Eye; Wolverine tosses it out the window, before stabbing both Doctor Strange and Daimon Hellstrom in the chest. The Eye lands in Central Park, where an African-American couple on a picnic find it. They panic when the battle comes to them. Ms. Marvel grabs the eye and flies high into the sky, while the others tackle Cage.

Back at Avengers Mansion, Wolverine is trying to get answers out of the demonic force. Next thing he knows, spiritual energy bursts from both Strange and Hellstrom. Spider-Man, having hurried young Danielle to safety, asks if he had killed them. Wolverine denies it, for he only stabbed them a little. As they begin arguing, Strange regains consciousness and inhales. Getting up, he compliments Wolverine for his quick thinking, as severe trauma forced the demon to leave them; Wolverine's expression implies he's not. Strange then enacts a healing spell on himself, before using it on Hellstrom. Waking up, the Son of Satan says that whatever possessed them is planning on pulling this dimension apart.

Meanwhile, the New Avengers try getting through to Cage, who tries bargaining for the Eye. However, Ms. Marvel has a better idea: either the demon gives back their leader, or she'll crush the Eye. Enraged, the demon forces Cage back up, throwing off his teammates and snatches Ms. Marvel, who throws the Eye to Iron Fist. A short chase ensues, before Iron Fist uses his focused chi to knock his friend on his back again. Unfortunately, the demon has moved on to possess him. The New Avengers, Strange, Hellstrom and the miraculously alive Doctor Voodoo corner him before he can escape. However, Iron Fist disappears in a bright light before anyone could attack. Hellstrom grabs Voodoo by the Cloak of Levitation, blaming him for allowing the demon to possess the eye. Strange even says that without the Eye, they forfeit -- everything! Soon enough, the sky splits open, as demons rain down on New York City.

New Avengers (Vol. 2) #3
Victoria Hand is cursing in and around her car, venting that Steve Rogers placed her with the New Avengers, especially to put up with Luke Cage and Wolverine for the rest of her life. She then stops when the sky turns orange and demons descend on New York.

Meanwhile, Iron Fist has turned up in a dimension of complete whiteness. Two unseen entities are watching him, surprised that he did not dissolve into nothing as expected when the one of the entities brought him in, meaning that he has some sort of magical protection in this dimension. Iron Fist trying calling out but his pleas go unanswered.

Back on Earth, the New Avengers are facing the demons that have entered their dimension. Strangely, not even the magic-users can recognize their species. The New Avengers rush off to help the civilians, while the magic-users go to Doctor Voodoo's Sanctum Sanctorum to figure out what's causing this. Jessica Jones flies back to Avengers Mansion to take young Danielle to safety, only to meet the demons there. She tries fighting them off, but she's out of practice and is overwhelmed. Luckily, Hand comes in, priming a large energy bazooka, urging Jones to fly high, before she fries the demons.

Meanwhile, the magic-users arrive in the Sanctorum to search for a book that will help them find the dimension where Iron Fist is. Hellstrom takes not that it would take a very strong magic user to possess them like that. Voodoo admits that he's right, before lamenting how he failed in his duty as Sorcerer Supreme, how he failed his brother. Turning to Strange, Hellstorm ask who could've done this. Strange admits that he doesn't know.

Back in the unknown dimension, one of the entities recognize the symbol on Iron Fist's costume as that of the Molten Heart of the dragon Shou-Lao. That means that the sacred teachings Iron Fist was taught is protecting him. The entity tries bargaining with Iron Fist, as for some reason, he can't grab the Eye of Agamotto himself. Iron Fist refuses, stating that Strange will come for him. But saying that name has enraged the entity, who attacks him. Out of the white then comes the Ancient One, who reveals himself to be the mastermind behind this demonic attack.

Synopsis for 3rd story

New Avengers (Vol. 2) #4
As the battle against these mysterious demons rages on, Spider-Man calls out to his teammates, "This isn't working!" Meanwhile, at Doctor Voodoo's Sanctum Sanctorum, the magic users are still trying to figure out who may be causing this demonic attack. Strange doesn't think that it could be their typical foes like Doom or Baron Mordo, but perhaps an extremely powerful someone who wants to destroy this dimension for their own benefit. They then view the battle through a magic spell. At the moment, Jessica Jones has joined her husband, as Ms. Marvel flies to the dimension tear in an attempt to seal it off. Knowing that her body would disintegrate inside the rift, Strange extracts Ms. Marvel's astral form from her body, which it is being caught by Jones. Once they are settled on the ground, Strange restores Ms. Marvel to her body. The tear then starts reclaiming all the demons before sealing up, releasing a body, revealed to be Iron Fist in a new white and gold costume. He then punches Strange. He explains about his encounter with the Ancient One, who is very much alive, which Strange finds confusing, as his master died at the age of 500. Iron Fist claims otherwise and says that the Eye of Agamotto didn't belong here and that Strange stole it from its rightful owner. The Ancient One has granted them a temporary reprieve, for it has only just begun. Once again, Iron Fist asks Strange who does the eye belong to.
