Synopsis for 1st story

This issue ties in with the Avengers: Standoff! event.

Sam Wilson (Captain America) and Jane Foster (Thor) sit and drink coffee and discuss Jane's cancer condition (as well as their previous kiss, as seen in All-New, All-Different Avengers #5). Sam promises to keep Jane's identity and terminal cancer diagnosis a secret from the other Avengers before leaving.

Ms. Marvel is visited by the Vision at her school, who impersonates a substitute teacher and then meets her on the roof of the school later and brings her a virtual reality device that allows her to experience all of the Avengers earliest adventures as if she was there in-person with them. The Vision did this to rebuild trust with Ms. Marvel after having betrayed her and their fellow Avengers for the past number of days. (As seen in 6.) The Vision and Ms. Marvel are found by Iron Man and Thor, who take them to help save their teammate Spider-Man elsewhere in the city as he fights the villain Night Fantom.

Night Phantom mentions a location called "Pleasant Hill" and after the battle, S.H.I.E.L.D. director Maria Hill shows up and demands the Avengers remove themselves from the scene. Instead, Iron Man receives a call from fellow Avenger, Captain America, who informs Iron Man about a clandestine S.H.I.E.L.D. experiment location called Pleasant Hill that he wants the entire team to go investigate. Maria Hill begrudgingly agrees to fly them to the location.

As they reach Pleasant Hill from within the jet Maria Hill is flying, the Avengers look down and see the Avengers Unity Divison standing below, along with another Maria Hill. Upon seeing this, the Maria Hill in control of their plane begins to fire the jet's weapons at the herores on the ground and a fight ensues that causes the plane to crash. The Avengers and Marias fight but then find there is some sort of invisible wall surrounding Pleasant Hill, so all of the heroes stop fighting to instead concentrate their fire on the invisible wall.

Zooming out, it is revealed the invisible wall is actually the inside of a snow globe held in the hands of a mysterious, reality-bending child, and the Avengers teams are stuck inside the snow globe.

There is a flash, and Tony Stark and Miles Morales are then shown as fellow mechanics inside of a car garage, not realizing who they are. A sign on the outskirts of the town reveals their garage is in Pleasant Hill, and the population counter on the sign morphs to account for the new heroes now trapped in the town.
